Let me get this right, you think the 7700XT is going to match the 4090?
The 7700XT is N32, 4096 Shaders, so if this is right, yeah....
N31 has 12288.

No he said N31 which will be the top card and whatever AMD names it. They will most likely name it the 7900xt.
The 7700XT will be close to a 6900XT and have better RT. As it will roughly be in the mid tier it should be a great 1440p replacement.
In gaming the reference RX 6950XT is 341 watts.
That would make N32M a 127% higher performance per watt, that bodes extremely well for N32 and N31 on Desktop. I would not be surprised to see the N31 dGPU match the 4090 at 300 to 350 watts.

Yes that would sound very possible and why I think they are getting to look stronger by the day if they focus on the power efficiency keeping the asking prices lower. It would make for a decent battle and nvidia would have to through gritted teeth creep down with their pricing.
The thing is I think they need a halo part that takes the crown because they have not been properly faster since the 290X vs 780 days.
It would be nice but its a race to bragging and nothing else. I think nvidia know/knew their product was faster and have clipped it enough so they can push it more due to the insane cooler sizes, BIOS switches and drivers to come.
AMD I think will get close enough but the better tool to turn up to the fight with this gen is being able to price cheaper all across the stack and not need a cable/adapter or a new PSU.
Wonder if this is a (another)Nvidia killer or another so so card?
Would be nice if all this is true, but I'm taking it with a massive grain of salt. Here's hoping AMD give us some indication of where they'll stand on the 3rd, and not just some renders of the new cooler along with smooth gameplay footage of some new title running at 4k with no performance metrics in sight, and meaningless slogans. All while announcing the actual announcement date.

Yup, expecting such a beast to go against a 4090Ti...The cache modules can be 3D stacked, expect to see a 7950XT3D later down the line....
Desperately need it to reduce price points. $1200 for a 4080 is ridiculous.
