RDNA 3 rumours Q3/4 2022

It would make sense actually, N32 at 7680 shaders if its clocked low it should easily match the 6950XT which only has 5120 shaders.

If you clock that to 200 or 250 watts its already getting right up there, N31, as i keep saying has 12288 shaders, think about that...

Its all still rumours tho...

The impressive thing is the power consumption, its really impressive.

In gaming the reference RX 6950XT is 341 watts.

That would make N32M a 127% higher performance per watt, that bodes extremely well for N32 and N31 on Desktop. I would not be surprised to see the N31 dGPU match the 4090 at 300 to 350 watts.

350W maybe but I think 300W will not be enough power to match the 4090.

The 7700XT will be close to a 6900XT and have better RT. As it will roughly be in the mid tier it should be a great 1440p replacement.

The 7600XT is supposed to be close to the 6900XT at 1080p. 7700XT which is using cut N32 with probably 5kish shaders should be a bit faster than the 3090Ti.

This may be one of the reasons the 4080 12GB was unlaunched because NV know that AMD are going to be releasing a 7700XT 12GB with similar / slightly better performance and it would look bad for AMDs 3rd tier to match the 4080 even if it is the castrsted one.

Yes that would sound very possible and why I think they are getting to look stronger by the day if they focus on the power efficiency keeping the asking prices lower. It would make for a decent battle and nvidia would have to through gritted teeth creep down with their pricing.

The thing is I think they need a halo part that takes the crown because they have not been properly faster since the 290X vs 780 days.

It would be nice but its a race to bragging and nothing else. I think nvidia know/knew their product was faster and have clipped it enough so they can push it more due to the insane cooler sizes, BIOS switches and drivers to come.

AMD I think will get close enough but the better tool to turn up to the fight with this gen is being able to price cheaper all across the stack and not need a cable/adapter or a new PSU.

I think 7950XT can handily beat the 4090, by how much depends on design TBP and the final perf/watt improvement.

Would be nice if all this is true, but I'm taking it with a massive grain of salt. Here's hoping AMD give us some indication of where they'll stand on the 3rd, and not just some renders of the new cooler along with smooth gameplay footage of some new title running at 4k with no performance metrics in sight, and meaningless slogans. All while announcing the actual announcement date.

They'll show it against previous generation and 30 series would be surprised if they showed it against the 4090 when it only released

Would love them to have something up against the 4080 16gb for much less would really stick it up Nvidia this is coming from someone that bought 3080fe for £650
