Reading Festival 2007

Yay I'm packed. Just need to chop my hair off and have a shower. Then round my mates for some beers and listen to music. Then up at 6:30am tomorrow. To hopfully be parked up at around 8ish at reading.

Yet again if I fall over. I'll have to take off both rucksack before being able to stand up.

Asda didn't have any cheap fold up chairs, so I'll have to buy one on site.

Thanks paul_64 That's a damn good shout + can use clean toilets one last time He-He

I'm now as bold as a baby. Well not really clippers with no guard so looks like stubble.

Think I'll finish the packing in the morning, too knackered to be bothered right now. Hope every going to the festival/s has a great weekend! :D .

Got a couple of questions regarding a Leeds Friday - Sunday ticket that a mate and I have got:

1. Is there any way that we will be able to get in tonight?
2. If not, what time will we be able to gain access on Friday morning?
3. As the ticket says Fri-Sun, does this mean we have to leave on Sunday night or should we be ok until Monday morning?

If anyone can answer any of the questions it would be much appreciated :)

Ooohh, might have managed to get myself just enough cash for Sunday entry. thing is i dont know where to get tickets. i dont trust the touts but i guess i got no other choice :(

Got home at around 8.30am.

Left the campsite at 5.30am to beat the crowds and it paid off BIG TIME. No wait for the ferry to the other side of the river etc.

Simply amazing. And my wristband is number 661. ;)

I got back from Leeds last night it was crazy.

Missed all the ques and was home in 30 minutes, but the lads I was with set a 12 man tent on fire this morning so I kinda wish I'd stayed to see that :p

Sunburned to hell tho, but it was worth it :D

This is why Leeds festival has always been several levels below any of the other festivals - morons ruining the atmosphere:

Retard: HURRRRRRRR!!!! BURRRRRN STUFF! RUFF RUFF!

(Hint: It's not rock n roll, it's not big nor is it clever to do things like burn tents/ shout at random folk/ riot)

As for the festival, it was OK. I didn't catch any performances that I'd say were classic festival sets. I'd gone to mainly to see NiN and th Pumpkins, both of whom were a real let down at the Leeds site. They tried to play intimate sets instead of festival sets.

Aye agreed,

Police said there where half the crimes reported this year at reading than last year. This may be so but there where definitely more punch ups. on the Friday alone i saw quite a few. in fact i even told the police about one and they just walked over really slowly. all this crappy bands attracting the riff raff tbh

ahhhh just woken up got back from reading at like 1:30 am had an amazing time highlights for me were Bloc party and the Subways who where superb :)

Just got back from the whole thing.

Awesome time, tbh i think for best performance lostprophets were winners by far.

arcade fire were class, chilis were kind of a let down for me because its all their new stuff they were playing with it being part of that tour...

cant even remember all the other bands i seen i was stoned out my mind all of saturday daytime.

really sad to be back home :(

ohh maximo park, kings of leon, billy talent were awesome, razorlight were rubbish, he clearly couldnt be arsed.

if anyone saw the idiots dancing around, the guy in the pink tshirt was me.. apparently we were annoying all the sleepers at the back.

i struggled to get into the nme and carling stage a lot because i was running around the whole place trying to get chance of getting in, i missed biffy because of that.
