Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, Xbox and PC Hopefully)

Did you rush through it or something? I'm still on chapter 2, taking my time with the missions and just enjoying exploring the world and doing side stuff.

No not really, just put a lot of hours into it. I'm 88.6% total completion now, still got a load of stuff to collect though. I did all the stranger/side missions when they popped up for me, apart from most of the collectable stuff.

Cutting your hair/beard can also help avoid detection. I've said this before but get a full face mask from a Fence as soon as you can!

Yes, and the side quests are white. Go on the map, bring the index up and press one of the right triggers to show all missions currently available.

Some will only appear if you're near a particular person/area, whilst others unlock as you progress with the story.

Thanks, I will make sure to do them as soon as I see them then, so many things to learn in this game.

Really stupid question, but do we control the output to 1080p in the PS settings or in the RDR2 game settings??

That is the Rare Rolling Block Rifle. You can only get this once as it is dropped by that NPC in the barn and disappears after.

Shawrey

There's a bloke in Valentine who will offer you the gunslingers side mission (he's in the Saloon). Make sure you loot them once you've dealt with them, as they carry a rare pistol of some sort (there's an excellent looking Mauser). Don't worry about your equipped weapons, you won't lose them.

I'm probably in the minority but finding this to be an incredibly boring game. I know it's had good reviews etc but I find I'm bored within a short time of playing, it's like they've sucked all the fun out of the game and it's just way too slow :(

Did you enjoy the first one?? I'll be honest it's EXACTLY as I'd hoped/expected it would be. 70+ hrs in about 30% of story done and LOVING it here

Ditto, it's the same feel as the first game but just on a grander scale, which is great as the first was a masterpiece.

Im finding myself playing this for 3/4 hours a night and only progressing 0.5/1% of completion rate at a time.

I am loving this game.

I have still only done a couple of missions from setting up my first camp, but the scale just feels off the charts, I love the sense you get from playing, I also feel like I can smell the wood and camp fires that I see.

I haven't got any motivation to advance the story beyond wanting to unlock fences, and then I will just go about the world exploring, it's soooo good.

As much as I love this game, I cant help but feel that there is so much room for improvement in this game, and that it will be patched and matched to surpass Witcher 3, Witcher 3 was a great game and all the tweaks and UI interface changes to it made it much more user friendly and an even better game - RDR2 has so much potential to be amazing.

Is it wrong to put this game off and wait for patches? I want to enjoy it, but I want to enjoy it at it's fullest, if that makes sense

No. For all these big open world games I tend to wait a year for the GotY editions with the DLC and all the tweaks and patches.

While I completely understand this, i worry a fair bit about spoilers especially with story heavy games. I try to avoid stuff around a games launch but it reaches a point way too early where outlets etc seem to think the floodgates are open and they can openly discuss the game.
