Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, Xbox and PC Hopefully)

Why would you have to pay a premium for the digital version? Is that the norm these days?

Always has been, physical copies are cheaper by virtue of the fact that retailers can negotiate pricing and they don't want to be lumped with massive amountss of valuable stock. A digital version has no value until sold.

That said, it's only recently that the gap seems to have closed somewhat with physical prices having gone up substantially on new releases. I guess it had to happen eventually.

Thought I'd read a couple of posts up the digital version being more expensive. That said, physical copies do seem to reduce in price earlier

Just had a quick look on the Xbox store...£59.99 for the standard version? Really? :( Looks like I might be using a VPN and stuff like that mentioned in the xbox one X thread to get this cheaper.... £60 is a huge amount for a game, despite the fact yes i will get my money's worth...

Gonna have to be PS4 Pro version for me as not getting the Xbone X at this late stage. Fingers crossed for PC release!

Expecting 1440p for the pro but would be great if more. 4K checkerboard has been underused unfortunately as it looks incredible.

Edit; seem to remember it was 1800p CB?

What a laugh, the download version on Amazon is £59.99! That's £10 more than a standard edition in a box! This pre-order pricing is becoming rubbish. I still don't know how a digital copy of a game can be more expensive than a physical disc and box.

This is why I don't understand why people are happy paying for a digital copy(unless they're account sharing with somebody). I can get this game for £48.89 on disc. Even if I only get £20 back for it, it's still only £29 for the game vs a straight £60 if I bought it digitally.

Because swapping disks to play games is really irritating.

Haven't they confirmed it's 1920x2160? similar number of pixels to 1440P but probably looks sharper when scaled to 4K.

Those who book a week off work, what's your excuse? If/when I get back into work and cure whatever illness I have I couldn't dream of taking a week off just for a game..
