Red Dead Redemption 2

I want to get back into this but:

- I think I have two rockstar accounts.
- My old old account I can log into but it only gives me the opportunity to but RDR2. THis one does send me a recovery email
- My 'main' account (the one I received the 'thanks for buying RDRD2') email from doesn't let me log in. Says unknown user/pass BUT wont even send me a recovery email

It's been years since I touched it. Like 2 years+ Has my account gone walkies? I did buy RDR2 in Ukrainian currency I think because it saved a lot of money back in the day when everyone was using VPNs to get a better deal

Anyone else had this? Any ideas or just try to contact support?

I had the same after a long time away; my account had been compromised and Rockstar Support resolved it very quickly - whatever they did resolved the password reset issue, but then when I tried to reset it the recovery emails were coming through in Russian, so they had to fix that for me too.
Strange thing was, all I had to do was email Rockstar to say "I own this account" and they sorted it. No proof of ownership or anything...which means they're either very lax on security, or there is something flagged on the account that shows the original email address is was registered to.

Yeah looking back at my old emails I also have some Russian 'reset your password' emails. Guess we have the same thing

Thanks!

PS - How did you do it? I only found the email for support - couldn't for the life of me find 'ticket raising' via their site

Under the Social Club support section, there is an option for a "Compromised Account" and you can submit a ticket:

4090 installed, every possible setting turned up to max and DLSS enabled and I swear this is one of if not the best graphical experiences I have ever seen. To think this came out in 2018 is just insane as imo it beats the crap out of pretty much any 2022/2023 game in visuals. It is phenomenally beautiful and water and the environments look so realistic.

I have a really stupid RDR2 question.

Picking things up: It seems really hit and miss on what item it is aiming for, and I can't find any way to actively aim at a thing. There are times where I can't pick up an item because I already have all I can carry of the item next to it, and there's no way to tell the game to focus on the one next to it instead.

Am I missing something obvious? Or is this a consequence of it being a console port?

Same - the volumetrics with haze, smoke and mist is really something - a real noticeable difference.

I'm currently going through the game at the moment and running on a modest 3900x/3070 setup and would say it still looks phenomenal even without everything maxxed out.

Had it for years but always got distracted and never properly put the time in. I'm about 15 hours on a new playthrough and haven't skipped a single piece of dialogue yet, I can't really say that for any other game.

The graphics are phenomenal but the richness of the world takes the cake, even observing how the animals behave, all the npc interactions you can have and the amount of detail are unmatched still.

It's one of the very few games where I was satisfied just riding around discovering things and soaking in the world.

YT compilations on the details and the world are endless, lol.

I completed the story to RDR2 in 2021, really enjoyed it. Might try for a 100% run later this year. What minor mods would you recommend to enhance the experience? Nothing majorly game changing, just things to make life a bit easier and a bit more interesting, or realistic. I play with keyboard & mouse.

I bought RDR2 in a sale over a year ago and never got round to even downloading it, no particular reason. Playing it now and I'm surprised at how amazing it looks.

I'm jealous! My 1080Ti SLI and 4790k setup is giving me an average of 50fps with some lows to half that at 3440x1440 with my current settings. Certainly very playable and amazing looking but I'm due a PC refresh soon and I thought about stopping playing until I get it.

I agree with everything you say. But I don't understand how it relates to my question, sorry!

The only issue that I ever had with the game was the AA. DLSS improved it, but that was one of the earlier 2.x versions, so hopefully it's gotten even better.

The best result I ever had was using DLAA to bump up the res 1.5-2x (native was 1440p), and then use DLSS to clean it up.

hey guys, currently downloading RDR2 again, going to give it ago (completed a few times before) again..

This time I would like to tweak and test my system, so looking for FPS counter to see where im at..

As it does not run through steam, I cant get an FPS overlay, what is the best method to get this?
