Red Dead Redemption 2

Have £30 of steam vouchers from the recent Amd promotion when I bought ryzen, so looks like I've found what to spend them on in December... Not played this type of game before really so looking forward to it.

Yay I'll be all over this as I finally get to have a go with a Mouse and Keyboard and 60fps!
Had a go on a friends PS4 for about 10 minutes and had to give up because I don't use controllers and can't aim or move for toffee with them!

I'll be double dipping as I bought it for PS4. Only played a few hours, using a controller was killing it for me.

60fps and all those sad old PC gamer claims won't make jack all difference here and better textures I can't see changing things much. Load times will certainly benefit for sure.
What kind of nonsense is this

I finished it on Pro, 150 hours played, yes it is in my TOP3 of all time (with Witcher 3 and Kingdom Come), but I totally can't wait for PC version so I can enjoy this awesomeness in 60fps. It will instantly make gameplay vastly more enjoyable.

60fps is a game changer for this. Although I hear HDR was actually fixed awhile back on consoles. Not tried it yet though as playing through days gone again.

60fps and better resolution/textures make a lot of difference, 60fps being the biggest deal. It makes me want to play through this masterpiece again. Also, think about the mods and stuff.

How will 60fps make a difference I ask? RDR2 is an ultra slow cowboy simulator, you aren't going to be panning around left/right aka an FPS and running around guns blazing. There wasn't a single time on the PS4 Pro where I even thought I required extra FPS because the game is so slow paced. Yes I can certainly see those FPS required when fishing or polishing my guns.

HDR was never 'fixed' afaik on consoles. I last went to RDR2 in May or June after updating my console and it looked the same sloppy implementation that the game always had - Rockstar simply can't do HDR.

Immersion, smoothness, people just prefer it and not everyone has your preferences to name a few plus 60fps works much better with a Mouse and Keyboard. Don't want or need it?.....then stick to the consoles and controllers but the very reason I don't have a console is because to me controllers are like having your hands tied together behind your back so I play everything with mouse and keyboard and 30fps is eye poison.

Just because it's not a fast paced game doesn't mean it wont benefit the overall experience of playing from having higher frame rates.

Have to agree, 30 fps really doesn't bother me in this style of game, I'm currently playing it a second time through on ps 4 pro, was tempted to wait after seeing this news but meh.....

Unless graphics are insanely better and I mean like GTA 5 v1 to v2 "big", I doubt I'll bother double dipping. RDR 2 on consoles looks better than 95% of the games on PC still.

Also, HDR has been fixed and works very well on both consoles now, you need to choose game mode in the games settings then adjust the settings to match your TVs brightness.

As for controller vs K+M, again, imo, not really a game that will suit M+K, only time I would ever use the mouse would be for shooting scenes, just like gta 5 (except it was needed even more as you didn't have the likes of "dead eye"):p

By doubling the frame rate lol its not rocket science, higher frame rate = smoother looking game better animation details and overall less frame blur also added on is its control and latency will be much better.

Can't believe you really even asking this question in a pc thread tbh
