Red Dead Redemption 2

After numerous attempts to get into this ive tried once again.
World is so immersive, story is slow as fcuk bordering on super boring, gunplay is actually really poor but there is something about rambling about the world doing random things and getting into trouble.
I installed the mod for random bounties forced first person view with ironsights and just started playing them while getting into all sorts of situations, complete a bounty rinse/repeat and having a blast.
Will i ever finish the main story i seriously doubt it but just out exploring the world just like Kingdom Come Deliverence is a lot of fun- atleast i can kill dudes in RDR2 :)

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the remake of the first one.
I may get back into this again. I have quite a few games that need playing and not enough hours in the day to play them

Just finished this, got halfway through when it first came out and never finished. Probably one of the best games I've played, story telling, the ending, the random encounters. It has it all.

Such a shame we won't see a third for probably ten years.

I think what's special about it, is that there isn't really any game I can think of that comes close to the immersiveness/detail of the world etc.

If you watch those video comparisons, like between RDR2 and Starfield, Starfield is laughably poor in comparison (in terms of world building/immersive detail).

It's quite astonishing what they achieved...and back in 2018 on the old gen consoles too!

I get that the core gameplay /missions might not be everyone's cup of tea, but you cannot deny that the world they built/the level of detail and technical prowess they pulled off is unmatched.

I find it difficult to play because of how slow you have to do everything.
Walk slowly, loot slowly, everything. I understand what they're going for with that, but I struggle with it.

What's the best AA method to use on this game with an AMD card? All the built in options are terrible and I'm not sure if there is any "must have" mods to fix the blurry TAA.

Unfortunatly the engine is built arround TAA. Only way to fix it is using DLSS 4 it looks a superb with the recent update to support it. Other than that I think youre stuck with it.

New DLC announcing this week? The voice actor hints at something super exciting, obviously not RDR3 and a console release for the other consoles isn't an exciting thing for a voice actor to get so worked up about so.... RDR2 DLC is has to be I guess.

I didn't play the first game, tried the second and found it really slow to start and difficult to get into. I keep meaning to go back to it but never seem to get around to it. Know its very popular so has to be worth it..

Same for me but I found it to be pretty boring.

I was only moaning the other day about the money grabbing nature of forcing people into the online when there was so much scope for dlc - this would be a day 1 for me.

Is there a mod which makes looting faster?
It's so frustrating to loot houses when you need to check and pick up items individually. I don't mind that the game is quite slow paced, but some things really need to be sped up or they just make the whole thing un-enjoyable

You could try using a trainer, once you do that though it's hard to go back to not using it

How much did you play? I probably didnt give it enough of a chance if im being honest. I find it difficult to get into games these days unless it grips me immediately.
To the end. I've made the mistake before of quitting early and almost missed out on two of my favorites, System Shock 2 and Deus Ex. Went back to them two after a break and so glad I did.

RDR2 just didn't do anything for me and as for the ending

I can appreciate the work that went into it mind.
