Red Dead Redemption Thread

For the social club challenge you have to drag a guy all through the hideout? How on earth? Is it just run through with him attached or kill everyone else on your way through?

Just got the redeemed trophy.

100% game completion.

75% trophies collected so far.

I'm a little bit jealous. :p

Good job though.

Just checked the Social Club and I'm on 77.5% which is more than I thought I would be on, maybe I'll actually try and get 100% but I think I'd end up getting too frustrated with some of the challenges, especially the hat shooting/disarming ones.

Im sitting at around 98% game completion, just cant seem to win at five finger fillet for the reyes outfit, as im assuming that u need to take them all on and not just win the $1 dollar game.

I just sneaked up behind people and aimed at the top of their hats. Don't do it in dead in though as when I did that, it just head shotted them.

Disarming is easy in dead eye.

Just follow this guide.

Trying to get to 100% with out that guide is torture.

Thanks that's a really handy guide, I also like the Social club, seems really detailed. When I did my hat shooting in Multiplayer I went to Tesoro Azul (sp?) gang hideout where they all wear sombreros, I think for the shooting 2 hats in 5 seconds, I just shot the edges of the hat, like, the rim, think I'll try that in single player too.

As for disarms I have real trouble doing those reliably, and I see myself struggling with the 6 disarms without reloading but my plan was to just use the Mauser pistol and go around disarming random enemies one by one. :)

Just did a few more herb journal challenges, now I'm a master survivalist so the herbs show up for longer on the survival maps, should be useful. :) Also done a few more sharpshooter challenges, the hat shooting and kill 2 animals in dead eye. I'm now on the kill 3 bears each with 1 shot, think I'll use the buffalo rifle if I can ever find it.

I used a 9 shot revolver think it was the lemat. Everytime you go into dead eye it refills your ammo it seems and i dont believe that counts as an offivial reload.

Evens Repeater. 22 shots without reloading. :)

I just went into Armadillo with my bandana on and started shooting up the place. Soon I had more than six people aiming at me to disarm. :p

It doesn't. :)

I did that mission with a friend and we took out anyone and everyone that got in our way. Was epic. :D You need to travel in pairs, the west can be brutal on your own.

As much as I love this game, I keep thinking about how much more they could have done with the missions. I was really hoping to infiltrate a gang by wearing their outfit then doing a few crimes with them like holding up a train and robbing everyone.

Would be cool if the outfits let you do missions for gangs.
I get a feeling that could be a DLC item Rockstar bring out - see the same world from a different viewpoint/objective

ps3ud0

If the map does not have any writing on then it will show a distinctive landmark. Just look out for that.

I found that the missions tend to take you near the landmarks anyway, so make sure that you have made a mental note and just be observant when doing missions.

I have found the treasure missions to be some of the most fulfilling in the game.

I found them to be pretty easy.

Not sure whats going on with them, I'm a tad confused, I'm on "Treasure Hunter 2" have only the map for the hanging rock one, which is number 1, so I'm not sure where I'm meant to be looking and can't find the one at Hanging Rock or Del Lobo Rock for the life of me! :(

Here's a link that will give you a short 1 minute video for each treasure, makes it very much easier. Personally I don't see the point wasting my time searching high and low for the treasure items when someone else can tell me exactly where they are. You get such tiny rewards for each one it's hardly worth the effort of looking all over the map.

By the way did anyone use something other than the Buffalo rifle to kill 3 bears each with a single headshot? I was going to use the Carcano rifle instead.
