The ever elusive American Standardbred just spawned infront of me. I chased it a bit, managed to lasso it as it was just standing on the edge of a cliff face it reared and fell down the cliff with me attached to the lasso, so I ended up falling about 100 feet into a river and died. :(

I hate that damn horse.
 
Haha, 12 counts of assault after I dragged a "dancing girl" (which tried to rob my horse whilst I was on it!) about 4 miles across rough terrain.

I let her go and a pack of Wolves savaged her.

Now THAT's justice! :D

By the way did anyone use something other than the Buffalo rifle to kill 3 bears each with a single headshot? I was going to use the Carcano rifle instead.

Bear wise, I just used the standard sniper rifle from story mode + deadeye, wait for him to charge, get the top of the nose in your crosshair, say sorry and pull the trigger!

Will give it a try, oh and no problem for the link. They guy who does the videos has a really annoying voice but at least the clips are short and sweet and shows you a view of the map as well as the location. :)
 
I'm finding it really hard to find beavers! I've been up and down Aurora Basin a couldn't find a single one.

What am I doing wrong? Starting to get really frustrated now!
 
Only found two Beavers myself, once while doing a bounty, so had no time to hunt it, the second one I shot it, forgetting I still had the shotgun equipped.... nothing left to skin LOL

Both in the snow area behind Tall Trees.

It's a lazy gag thats for sure, too easy!!

I have not graced my xbox with this game yet - still finishing off Alan Wake - but taken in some of the tips
 
Beavers are roughly around this area I marked:

You can find them further north by the cabin with a pier attached. Head north slightly and they should spawn.

Watch out for ninja stealth bears though!
 
Got the beaver furs now. I failed a stranger mission due to a bug (suprise suprise).

I was supposed to duel some one in Blackwater, but it seemed he got stuck in the terrain and wouldn't move.

Once you've failed a stranger mission, can't you re-do it?
 
What are all these bugs people are talking about? The closet thing I came to any bugs in the game was clipping through bushes when looting bodies... wouldn't really call that bug but just a technical difficulty all games suffer from.

btw, giantbomb have 90 minute video of them playing MP. Pretty funny.
