Red Dead Redemption Thread

I still haven't done much online yet. Getting to sucked in to try to get 100%!

I might actually give multiplayer a go tonight though, hopefully it'll be fun even though I don't know anyone that plays!

It's a lot harder if you don't have someone to group with from my experience of it so far.

I didn't realise its not so much animated as created using the game engine and assets. A long boring cut scene perhaps :p

How do you know? Has it been aired already? If so, where can I find it!

The internet

I am now level 40 in MP and only have 3 more trophies to get.... then I think I'll eject RDR and never touch it again untill the co-op comes out. I am burnt out to hell on this game. lol.

I gave the online a blast last night. Seems OK but just seems like your typical online shooting multiplayer.

I think there was only about 4 game modes, maybe I didn't look right.

I can imagine that free roam can get quite frustrating is you're trying to do something, considering people just use it as a free for all.

Its historically correct. Thats how things were back then.

I guess so. Would be nice if they had some sort of PvE/PvP server setup though IMO.

I know their has been a co-op DLC announced (not much use to me as non of my mates play) but is their going to be anything else in the works DLC wise? Maybe new areas, new missions etc?

Would be nice if their was, it could justify me keeping the copy then because I was thinking about selling it in a weeks time when I've got bored with the single player.

Anyone come across two Marshalls chasing an Indian chap in the desert?

In a trigger happy moment I shot all three of them, and a coyote completing one of my challenges saving the game. Problem is now the Sheriff has disappeared, I do hope I didn't wax him.

No but have you cleared out the tumbleweed gang yet? You free the sheriff here - though he got killed not long after with me I think you can prevent this.

Not yet no, so he might have been kidnapped? I've just completed the cattle rustler mission in the canyon and was doing the American Appetite side quest.

With my shooting it's kind of inevitable he's going to get capped sooner or later. :D

Having completed Alan Wake(great game!) I'm going to buy this today. Does it run better on a specific console or are they both similar?

I just found some comparison shots and although there doesn't seem to be too much of a difference I think you're right by saying 360. The colours look only very slightly more vibrant but one thing that sticks out to me is the grasses/shrubbery look quite a bit denser. Obviously it isn't noticeable in screenshots but apparently PS3 suffers from bad object pop, too.

I was hoping the PS3 would be the best choice as it's my favoured console but I will get the 360 copy as the graphics show a noticeable improvement.

The hunt is on... Again!

I need to knife 2 cougars now, if anyone could tell me a hot spot for these things, it'd be greatly appreciated. :D

Tall Trees :). Right up at Tanner's Lodge (I think it's Lodge... Tanner's something anyway). About as North-East as you can go.
