Tall Trees :). Right up at Tanner's Lodge (I think it's Lodge... Tanner's something anyway). About as North-East as you can go.

I did have a look around Tanners Reach earlier but couldn't really see any. Will go back and have another look though.

When you say about as north east as you can go, do you mean north east of tanners reach? Because really north east is around Blackwater/Great Plains

I have NEVER seen a cougar at tanners reach and i have a playtime of 30+ hours. For me the cougars consistantly showed up in the great plains both near the cliffs overlooking the river and near the train tracks bordering the boundary between tall trees and the plains.

Cheers. Will have a look.

Thhe gang hideouts don't seem to be saving for me. I've done Fort Mercer about 7 times now!

MP is interesting. I went for the 'get all gang hideouts done' achievement which was a PITA. At first it was easy a I rolled up to a couple of posses already half way through them, which saved time but on the last one a posse was camping the hideout killing anyone who approached but not killing the gang. Took ages to kill each gang member while under fire.

Also, killing one of the griefers netted me the Rockstar killing achievement :D

Now I'm back into SP trying a couple of the challenges, why is it I saw thousands of cougars on my travels but now I need to kill some they're all gone?

This game seems quite good but at the same time it's so open it feels like there's not enough to do, although this is my first impression after playing the game for a few hours, i hope it's worth the £40 as i hate to spend that much on a game these days, im wondering if i should have waited for a price reduction?

Theres plenty to do... well kinda, if you do the challenges then theres plenty to do.

you cant miss stranger mission afaik i kept killing this woman i was supposed to escort 24 hours later(ingame) shed turn up again (not the stranger ? just the purple target) and i could retry.

Can you redo Stranger missions - I just got a prompt saying "American Appetites Failed"

:/

Yup I failed the final part afew times because I wasn't taking much notice of what I was doing. Shoot first ask questions later does not always work. As for hunting Cougar I seem to attract them a lot around by Fort Mercer, many a good horse has been lost there :(

Been having some good MP fun the last few nights. Posse has adopted the tactic of digging ourselves in at El Presidio and making full use of the numerous cannon and gatling guns. Never has blowing Mexican Army and random players off their horses been so much fun :D

Got the mowing them down trophy last night. Was kinda retarded.

I was using the browning gun that is located on the roof of my house in El Matadero. I gunned down everyone in sight and left a wreck of wagons, bodies and horses all over the village... Even though all this mess with just sitting there, other riders and wagons would just casually ride right past it all. wtf? So, I just killed everything that moved. Only took 10 minutes to get 300 kills (already had 200) because the AI would spawn everytime I killed the last bunch of riders and wagons.

I guess thats just how it was in the west.

woop just got to mexico yesterday......man there is so much to do, ill be riding to a mission and get sidetracked because i have to find a flower, or hear shoots in the west or see horsies and go after them lol. Oh any idea where i can find wild boars? :(

Did the "complete all US hideouts in 24 hours" objective last night. I thought it was going to be tough time-wise but was actually pretty easy. I think I managed all 5 in less than 12 hours.

Gaptooth Breach is definitely the hardest one so I'd suggest starting there.

I always seem to run into them near Tall Trees, or on the Great Plains.
