Red Dwarf XI and XII

Just a headsup, although this isn't being aired until Thursday, the first episode is available via on demand already. I was browsing using the Sky+ app on my phone and it gave me the option to download.

UKTV Play (at least on my BT Vision Box) has all episodes of Red Dwarf available to watch at the moment.

I rewatched the first series, episode 1. I really miss the writing from back then.

Mixed feelings about the latest episode. Feels like a formula they have used from so many times before.

The best recent episode of Red Dwarf somehow turned up in
Star Wars: The Force Awakens when Han and Chewie pitch up up in the big cargo freighter

Quite liked the new episode. Cat got all the best lines as usual. Made me laugh a bit. First few lines from Craig Charles had to struggle to stop seeing Lloyd. OMG Robert Llewellyn has put on a few pounds dont remember Kryten having such a round frame mid section! :)

The Science Bar scene was a bit overlong and didnt work too well in my mind with all the science stuff replacing the sleazy bar banter got a bit boring. Simulants were a bit naff uptil the point 3 of 66 found out he was being ****ged off that was funny.

Well that was awesome.

The story seemed to weaken before the adverts but I think it seemed that way because of the adverts. If it was continuous like it was on the beeb it wouldn't of been so obvious to me, I think.

Loved it anyway, can't wait for next weeks.

I was thinking that. I can't imagine it makes that much money, it's rather a cult thing now I think.

Over 4 million people watched Back to Earth, still Dave's highest ratings.
An average of over 3 million watches Series X.

Adding to that it's sold worldwide, plus DVD/BR/Streaming sales and also the merch... They're not losing money.

I do wish that they'd bring back the cast commentaries though. Missed them on X. They were pretty funny.

Also, S11E02 watched. I get the feeling that quite a lot was cut from this episode. Just seemed a bit.. abrupt... Good episode though.

Got a series 7 vibe off the first episode, didn't really grab me as much as the first episode of series 10.
