Red Orchestra (2) : Heroes of Stalingrad

Interesting to see how this runs with my new hardware, was getting pants performance with e5200 & 5750...

I've lost 20fps from the first release, a lot of people said the beta ran better..

DEVS - We are fixing an issue with cpu's, not easy though.

How long should this take? I dont think its actually doing anything.

Close it or run the game anyway, it should still install correctly

im using
Everything ultra -AA Max FF(not ML)
AO ON
Motion ON
Bloom On
frame smoothing ON
Shadows on - medium - i lose like 40fps with shadows on higher than medium.

GTX570 - 60fps constant @ 1920x1200

btw whats that 10% mean??

cheers m8 game butter smooth maxed now shadows are killing the card ;)

I turn bloom off because it looks ugly as hell, regardless of performance boost or not.

Anyone lese find the dusk lighting on many maps kills the atmosphere and mood of the game? The lighting just doesnt scream Eastern Front hell hole, more like Red Dead Redemption for some reason.

I got this game last night, it hasn't hooked me like I thought it would.

I'm just having quick sessions here and there, the cover system I'm not sure about...right now I don't use it and just hide behind cover "the old fashioned method".

Best map is definetely grain elevator, by some margin actually. Had a go on a tank only server and that seemed quite fun might play that some more.

The best thing about the game is the satisfaction of lining up a kill with one of the rifles then nailing it.

Same thing that was best about ro1, so it definitely succeeds as being what you'd expect from the game imo.

Hi. Ro2 doesnt seem to save my settings such as keyboard mappings and graphics settings.

Now i have found a workaround where i manually create "J:\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Config" in order for it to create all the necesary ini files for me. The question is why do i have to do this everytime i do a reinstall? i also notice that the /Log folder is missing too so everytime i have a crash i cant find and locate the dmp files?

Is this because my documents target location is separate from the C: drive as you can see above and the fact that Steam folder is located in another seperate hdd/partition?

This is the only game that has this issues. i have many Steam games such as Fallout new vegas where all the ini files are all automatically created for me in j:/My games/ folder.

Any suggestions?

So turn off bloom and on world war effects?

Ive everything on Ultra, no probs at all atm

The only thing its very glary if that makes sense, like the sun is beeming too much

I'm too scared to buy this because I doubt my PC would run it very well - after reading about people struggling with 6850's.

I only have an X4 965 and a 5850 1GB and 4GB Ram, which is good enough for most games - yet people are citing performance issues on even higher end hardware :(

GTX 580 and a I5k @ 4.5 eats its up with everything on MAX. (apart from bloom, i hate it others love it)

As for the game

Marmite indeed.

One of the best games i have played in a long time.

No issues at all on my rig.

Graphics are alright, better than i thought they would be - gameplay.... give or take atm, im learning, but sometimes it feels epic... others its like being in a team of rambos and no real point to it all.
