Red Orchestra (2) : Heroes of Stalingrad

Internet's back so got on Steam this morning and placed my pre-order. In the end I didn't go for the Deluxe version - I dont play TF2 enough to care about hats, I dont own the other game (Killing Floor?) and I actually dont want the extra weapons unlocked from day 1 - I think I would enjoy the game more if I can work toward unlocking them myself. I used to get a real sense of achivement when unlocking new weapons and items in Bad Company 2, it would be nice to get a similar feeling in RO2 :)

And don't worry too much about a two week delay. We've been waiting long enough already so it's not a big issue in the grand scheme of things, and it means we'l end up with a more polished finished product. Trust the guys at Tripwire, they know what they're doing, if they think a bit more time is neccessary to get it just right, that's fine by me :)

Nooooo... I'll be heading back to Uni around then without my PC.

DISASTER!!! :(

Edit: Actually, I hope the Beta/Alpha (whatever it's called) will be out soon then.

I dont understand why they would lie.

They have not even reached the last beta stage yet and with a game with such complex ballistic mechanics and 1st person cover system, I can imagine a lot of bugs popping up.

It looks like it is shaping up really well, and as the dev kit for the game has been with modding teams for some time now we should see a lot of mod's popping up not long after launch, like the fantastic Darkest Hour (2?) and I have also seen a Pacific Theatre mod aswell which looks nice.

Can-not WAIT for this game.

Not that I am too worried about it being delayed by a couple of weeks, but surely they cant "polish" it now? Its already gone gold hasnt it? Do they mean "we want another two weeks to work on a day one patch?" :S
