Does anyone who has preordered the Deluxe version know when we get access to the Beta?
Were there lots of UK clans for RO1.
Looking on the twi forums its all a bit SS style clan wise.
Hopefully find a nice clan for some competitive action.
Sometime between now and release.
Thats actually pretty much the official wording though, just whenever they launch the final beta. I imagine it will just appear on your steam list when its active.
Yeah there are some right nut jobs over on the TWI forums, though theres also a fair bunch of 'pro' clans or have a few beers and kick some ass clans.
I thought Red Orchestra was about team play and realism. If so whats with all the stats / achievments / progress etc this sounds more like cod!
Hope its good as its different enough from bf3, i think, to play as well as, rather than instead of.

Just pre-ordered now... looking forward to something other than a modern shooter. This is looking pretty great, I'm guessing I will die a whole lot.
I played the first one and hated it. People stood on hills shooting randomly into the air with outrageous bullet drop killing people inside castles.
I would actually like to retract my previous comment, the engine looks quite impressive.
Are you sure you weren't playing Mount & Blade?
Thats not to easy to answer. Most clans where developed around being European or US based, the ping difference between the continents was considered to have a negative impact on intercontinental clan matches. That, and at its height RO1 only really managed to attract 30 active clans.
Finding committed players was always a struggle, so to put together a UK only clan was virtually impossible. That said we did manage to play a couple of Team UK tournaments with a mixture of UK ppl from different clans. This was arranged (like all clan play) through www.roladder.net.
Yes there was a realism league at one point for hardcore teams based around historical regiments (SS & NKVD) that fought in the actual battles portrayed. Which all seemed a bit weird and intense to me...
I'm sure mine and other RO clans will be looking for new bodies once the clan scene gets going.
I remember the splat servers, they were good boxes usually well run too
