I don't think they will somehow...

They can't revoke your key through Steam, so how can they possibly justify giving you a refund when they've no way of seeing you return your product.

They can, and have.

though I don't see why everyone is getting so tetchy about it, I honestly wasn't really bothered as I'll be getting it eventually when the bugs are sorted out, I just didn't want to pay for something I couldn't play.

I just had a great game, with the game looking lovely and performance seemed like it should be.

Not sure if its what did the trick but I used something called Game Booster 3 before playing. It does things like close unneeded processes and frees up ram. Anyway performance was goooooood.

Sometimes the game looks gorgeous and sometimes it loads up and obviously somethings gone wrong and it looks abysmal. When you get it looking nice its incredibly pretty, so much so that its difficult to play without having a epiphany when some light shines through a window.

Oddly, stat fps didn't show much difference but the game just "felt" like it was performing better. This game is amazing when it works!

Seeing as though I can't get a refund, I will have to hope that the performance improves somewhat in the future - for me.

Has anyone noticed, however, that setting the game to lowest, namely textures, removes a bit of the detail in the scene - obviously - but makes it surprisingly easy to spot enemies in the windows of buildings.

It makes me wonder, in general, why people play with fancy graphics (light shafts/hdr/bloom/foliage/shadows/texture details) when using low graphics gives you a significant edge in enemy detection.

This is for all games, not just RO2, but in RO2 it's strikingly easier to see enemies on lower settings.

but it will be far more stable then this piece of crap.

people say arma 2 was buggy a launch. this game sets a whole time new record as the most buggiest piece of pap ever

8gb ram, quad core 4.2, ati 4890, no problems other than the odd crash here. People like yourself just like to jump on bandwagons and **** and moan at the slightest bug.

I'm starting to feel a bit insulted.

This is my system:

i7 980x six core, 4.0gHz
12GB Tri-Channel RAM
3-way SLI of GTX480
6 intel SSD's raid0 on areca 1880 hardware controller

This is my resource usage during an MP game.

So it's just me crying because I expect too much from this system?

If this game is just too much for this machine to handle then why is it barely using 20% CPU and 30% GPU?

Reducing polys on maps isn't going to help me at all.

What I need is for this game engine to actually use the power available to it
lol same stuff here man.. Running with these specs :

i7-960 @4.7Ghz
ATI 6990
Rampage Extreme III
12GB Corsair dominator 1600
Intel 120GB SSD

It's not even close to using 50% of available resources. This game fails hard. I've asked steam for a refund as this was only ment to be a placeholder untill BF3 beta. Right now it's serving as a frustration.

Odd

i5k at 4.6, on a GTX 580 and the games runs fine everyone on max, apart from Bloom and motion blur which i dont like.

Oh and at 1920x1200 res.

Loving the game, patches will come along with free maps, free mods etc etc.

Gaming how its meant to be.

As for worst game ever on release lets just say Black OPS which had 5 times as much resource and it still took them 7 months to fix it. But i guess you can put varnish on a turd and polish it.

That's a really dumb way to judge the game. Lacking in xfire/sli support and only using probably 2 cores isn't that crazy. Once again, compare it to lots of games.

I'll happily admit that the game has problems but spreading incorrect information that shows a lack of understanding of how software/hardworks is just a bit...sigh-worthy. Sorry.

Indeed, tons of games come out without Sli support. I just force it on through the Nvidia control panel until support is implemented in the next driver. Not worth tears over.
