Red Orchestra (2) : Heroes of Stalingrad

Played the game few times over the past week to many bots on servers to enjoy it, I hope this patch brings back a lot of players any news on the patch date?
 
I had performance issues at first, but it seems to be a lot better recently.

I am really happy for this patch tho, I had a tiny go on the beta and it seemed like such a nicer experience, if only there were more people playing!


I urge anyone who had initial issues, please please please get on there once they release the update, it would be great to have some more people on the servers!!
 
Only thing which slightly disappoints me is the loss of the zoom when aiming down sights. Going to make Fallen Fighters and even harder map for riflers, in classic mode at least. I always bought into the explanation they gave for the zoom saying it was actually what you would see in reality, and found it made rifling the proper advantage it should have for distance shooting. Will get used to it of course if these changes make the game good again.
 
Sounds good, the only reason i stopped playing was i couldnt actually find a game without waiting 10 minutes from a server refresh till the servers showed. It looks like this patch has actually fixed that from the notes.

You still get 90% of the zoom when using a rifle, its just that you can't use the "controlled breathing" additional zoom. So you zoom less with SMG's/semi autos I guess

Personally I prefer the oldschool RO way of no zoom at all

I thought that the ironsights fov was confgurable such that you could make it be a wider field of view for just bringing the ironsights up, then when you pressed control breathing it would zoom into a fixed field of view. This is how I had it set up anyway.

Mine doesn;t seem to have downloaded any patch yet, has it been released?

No the patch has been delayed a few hours.
