Red Orchestra (2) : Heroes of Stalingrad

Will play it a few times until BF3 beta comes out then that'll be me done with it, very poor game.

If you've come to that conclusion after only a couple of days of playing the beta version of a game, then I pity you. You must have incredibly high expectations which make it hard to enjoy any game which isn't instantly dazzling.

Oh well. Your loss.

I'm loving this game, I was going to write a bigger post explaining but now i'm here i just want to go back in game!

even the graphics are good, which i wasn't expecting!

Apparently SMGs are more realistic in RO2 as devs based them on using the real thing themselves.

Yeah they do seem a lot more realistic, in the original there was so much kick, and in real life they just arnt like that, this seems just right :D

its quite good but can get frustrating..the full game will hopefully give me some thing to play for a while or atleast come back every now and then for game..i think the user content will make this game like the first did.. only reason i bought it to be honest

Enjoying this game much more than I did the original.
Movement feels fine, could only feel clunky and slow to somebody who is used to sprinting around a make for lock on knife kills. Thankfully those kind of people will hate this game.

Its nice to have a WW2 game worth playing again, I do love the mosin nagant.

Thought I'd give this a try, even though I didn't play the original.

1st thoughts, FallenFighters is a terrible map, it's just too much of a sniper/campers heaven. Apartment is much better.

I tried playing around with the assualt class and I felt pretty overpowered, even at range, I didn't even need to burst fire.

I'm gonna perserve with it, since I bought the thing anyway, clients crashing a fairly regular after I leave a server. It does feel a bit "clunky" to me but I'll stick with it.

Well I just paid £4 to upgrade my pre-order to the Deluxe edition and am downloading the beta now, will get to try it out first thing in the morning!

It's a hard and unforgiving game, but it sure is fun. Especially when you manage to flank the enemy and run around picking them off with your bolt action rifle. :p

FallenFighters is great once you start having people throw smoke grenades. Some of the best games i've had have been on there.

I hugely agree with the assault class/SMGs in general though. They're fairly balanced until you rest them on a wall or something, at which point they become near as accurate as a rifle, only far more forgiving. Something that needs to be addressed pre-launch or the game will fail IMO.

Great game, but just having difficulty finding a nice mouse sensitivity level.

Does anyone use Smooth Mouse? What are your mouse/sensitivity set ups like?

Having never played the original game, I was hoping that I made the right decision in pre ordering this game. I had a 30 min go last night and im impressed by it. The graphics for a start are much better then i was led to believe by some of the post's on the thread. It's hardcore but still really fun.

Played for a few hours again last night, enjoyed it more after taking sometime to learn the map and playing about with the cover system more. I also lowered my gfx to medium settings and didn't notice a huge hit in graphical apperance but my performance was much smoother. SMGs are insanely accurate, they perhaps need toned down a bit.

hhheeeeeelllllppppppp

I bought the standard edition on green man gaming, it listed "Red Orchestra 2" in my games library.

Last night I spent the £4 on upgrading to deluxe, now my games list only references "Red Orchestra 2 beta"

IS this normal? Do I still own the full game or has steam bent me over?

Should reference RO2 and RO2 beta, maybe just steam playing up?

Yeah check you've not got the games list filtered for installed games only and restart the client if you haven't yet. If not I guess you should contact steam support.

Also if you click on your user name on the top right of the main steam window it should list all purchases as well as CD-keys/games added from retail or other digital shops, so check to see if your RO2 is still showing there.

I'll be having a late one tonight with this, will be playing with my mate on vent, if any ocuk people want to team up in some servers let me know.
