Red Orchestra (2) : Heroes of Stalingrad

I think the hitreg could do with a little more tweaking, guy was in front of me on the same floor level looking out the window. I aimed my weapon at his face from a side on position, Fired, nothing I Fired again and he looked at me. He fired at me, nothing happened and I fired at him and nothing. He then shot me and I died with a fatal wound. Same again, Guy runs up the stairs, I shoot him with my machine gun I plastered him with bullets as he run up the stairs. No damage, one shot I'm dead. Also saw the same happening to a number of other players while I was watching as a spectator.

Before anyone says Aim better, I'm usually a top end player so I don't exactly have a poor aim!

That Countdown mode is utter rubbish, I spend 10 minutes waiting for it to spawn me, then I couldn't spec anyone, then game crashed...

off to play on a territory only server, going to avoid ocuk server if countdown is on it, sorry!

Should I get the steam deluxe?

Don't care about hats or killing floor skins

Do those weapons take a while to unlock or will I breeze through without them.

Everytime i open server browser this game kills my net till i reset router??? Any ideas whyn so annoying

This might not fix it for you as it depends on the router I believe (and may be a separate issue), but it fixed my issues a while ago with various games. The actual way you do it depends on the router I think. Try the video but skip some of it (he repeats stuff):

If you have telnet access to the router you can login to it and delete the rule that is causing problems. Obviously only do this if you feel confident doing so. Also note that some routers have had telnet locked out, usually by ISPs.

Taken from the Steam FAQ at https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1452-HCVB-6984 and amended slightly.

Click on "Start", then select "Run", or if run is not present type it into the search box, type "cmd" and press Enter or click "Ok". This will bring up a command prompt.
Type "telnet speedtouch", or if that doesn't work then type "telnet 192.168.1.254". * **
You will be prompted to login to the modem with a username/password. The default is one of the following: Username: Administrator
Password: None (leave this field blank)
OR:
Username: admin
Password: admin
If neither of those combinations work, please contact your Internet Service Provider for assistance.
Once you have logged in, you will be presented with the command line of your modem. This is where you must enter the following commands:
Type connection bindlist and press enter. This will list connection bindings.
Look for a line that contains "GAME" and some port numbers. For example: GAME(UDP) udp 27010-27011
Enter the command :connection unbind application=GAME(UDP) port=27010-27011 and press enter. The port numbers in this command must match the numbers that are listed in your GAME port listing, similar to the example above.
Try joining a KF game and see if that fixes things. You will have to issue the command saveall to save the changes.

* Note that if the IP address of your router is different then this won't work. To find out what your router's IP address is, open up a command prompt (type cmd into the search or run box as before) and type ipconfig. This should show your currently connected network connection - the router's address should be under "default gateway". If you can't see this, try "ipconfig /all" without quotes. This will bring up all network adapters so you will have more to look through, but you should be able to find it.

** If you do not have telnet installed and get an error message (it isn't installed on Vista and 7 as default), you can either install it through the programs and features -> turn windows features on or off section, or you can use Putty - http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html . Run it, and in the IP address type the router's IP address and select the telnet box, then click open.

I'm not sure if this will cure the router restarting, but after I did this to my test HomeHub it worked fine and didn't reboot at all.

Woulfe posted a video tutorial that covers it here:
