Ref: AZAB...Whose is the most infamous thread on motors?

For some reason i always seem to think of a few threads about 306 turbo diesels being the fastest car known to man, and also whenever i see Clarkey in a thread i think back to the 'Z' threads.

He's awesome, every thread he posts is full of really cool stuff that makes us all laugh :)

Agreed. He's so hilarious because he doesn't mean it and he's a very sad with the threads he posts.

Is threads have consisted of debts, fast cars, multiple careers etc.

Probably loads more.

wasnt there a guy who bought a new (or new ish) lotus elise on finance and then insured it third party against everyones advice then crashed it got no pay out and had to continue making payments??

Who was the **** who said he had a 535d with a Manual box?

They dont come with manual? Ive been conned :[

Best thread of this type Ive been on was a guy who modded his Porsche 911TT to do over 200mph
Everyone said this was rubbish and even a 911TT could not go over 200 and even if you could you'd end up in jail

So to prove his case he needed me to host a video for him. This 5 years ago, before youtube, etc
So the video he transferred to me was him filming himself on a mobile with one hand while driving at over 200 through the desert with the seat belt light on.
Turns out he was a Saudi, totally unbelievable but basically case proved in the end.
The thread might still be online, it was at 6speedonline.com I think

Another vid on here I remember was a suzuki swift doing 100 in under 10 seconds. They had a video of the speedo but basically it was a case of wheels jacked off the ground I believe

gave me a good 1-2 hours of reading there (slow reader :p haha)

but seriously why even bother? what do they get from people replying to them on a internet forum?

understand why people would lie about the size of there penis( we've all done it :p)....but someone trying to get sympathy from the ocuk lot making out he totalled his mr2 and was lucky to escape alive then he post's picture of it of a tiny little scrape on bumper and thats it......

i sort of feel sorry for them, they MUST have some kind of problem...maybe not seeing enough of the real world

never the less very funny :D

Wow, what a tool. 13k on a Motor and insure it 3rd party, that is the craziest thing ever. I wouldn't want to insure anything more than 2k on 3rd party, let alone a 13k Elise!

Who was the lad that bought a car of his dads mate who worked from a garage, think he was buying it off a greek guy for about £5k even though it was worth £15k?

agreed I have tpft cover on my car which is worse about 400 quid just because its not worth claiming if it gets crashed etc, but anything over a couple of grand I would most certainly have fully comp cover, If i couldnt afford it then I couldnt have the car!

I'll never forget

"I've sat in over 1000 cars, I know what a good car is.."

can't remember who said it :)

I just read more of the thread and it was only TPO! Not even fire and theft. Moron. If you can't afford to insure it, don't buy it.

what about that dude who had a 530i sport and put M badges on it

:p only kidding

seems jollygreen bought a bike after that which also got stolen and wasnt insured for theft

Can't remember his name now, but there was a regular member who made up a load of BS about a supercharged (?) BMW project car and then suddenly stopped posting when he was asked about it because it didn't look kosher. Someone even went to his house to check IIRC :D

Didn't he post a picture of the engine which turned out to be completely different - a V8 instead of straight six?

Wasn’t there a guy who said he wanted to buy a car, for us to spec it and that price was no object. Didn’t he send someone a copy of his bank statement to prove he could afford one.

I remember him - "150K to spend" :D
