Remembering dreams/waking up from dreams...

I had another lucid dream last night, it started as a normal dream where I was talking to someone I used to go to school without about 12 years ago and I was asking him what he was up to nowadays. While he explained I realised he hadn’t aged at all, this was my dream sign so I told him he wasn’t really real and spun around a few times and suddenly I was on a huge battle field in the future. There were thousands of people fighting and I swiftly moved into action, I ran around a rock face and was shot from about 10 feet range with a shotgun by some very attractive female. The gun blast threw me back about 6 feet! But I just got up and tried to fly away. For some reason I’m unable to fly as such but I can do a high controlled jump style thing, kind of like I’m on a low mavity planet, then my memory fades. Was still cool though!

I suggest that you all give this ago, I only tried doing this from when it was first mentioned in this thread and this is my 4th lucid so far!

This is exactly what I've experienced in the past, but I'm not sure if it was lucid. Perhaps at a low level.

I've now started to remember more of my dreams. Last night I dreamt about and old girlfriend and for some reason, World Cup '94. :confused:
 
I also tried this last night, it wasn't a lucid dream but i did remember parts. I think its a start.

I found myself with 2 of my best mates and a some fit bird who i didn't recognize. For some reason we all fancied this girl but wouldn't admit it. At the time we were staying in a 2 bedroom apartment inside a hotel. It was winter, and my mates and i were on a surfing holiday, even though i don't surf. We went to the beach and there were like 20 - 30 ft waves, and for some bizarre reason there was large advertising boards in the sea, mostly Nintendo.

So we sat in the cafe, talking about this girl and saying that none of us liked her. I in an attempt to bed her didn't want to go surfing so i went back to my room and my mates went surfing. The girl was in her room with the door open and i said hi whilst i walked past, then i went for a shower. When coming outta the shower she was standing there naked telling me to come to bed ( Awesome ! ) so we got into bed and then my uncle walked in. Then i woke up !
 
Had about 2 or 3 dreams last night. I remembered them when I first woke up but have now forgotten them.

The weird thing is I do vaguely remember either during the dream, or just as I was waking up, thinking to myself "I need to find my dream sign"

It was kind of weird. Thinking that made me wonder how weird it will be if/when I first have a lucid dream.
 
Woohoo. Had a lucid dream last night/this morning.

It didn't last long, but it came about when I was in my home town, came out of a shop and was suddenly in London. Realised that it couldn't be possible so did the holding my nose thing and could still breath. Then I tried jumping and I jump right over the road to the other side. I then flew down some weird road and started waking up, and that was it.

I had a really scary dream last night, it took me ages to get back to sleep afterwards.

I dreamt that the nazi were after me and my baby and were killing all the villagers until they found hiding in a church steeple. it was really graphic with people screaming and even now can't stop thinking about it.
 
I don't know if this is lucid dreaming or not, but I'll tell you anyway.

I seem to be able to do this more or less every morning. When I initially wake up (usually by the sound of people moving in the house) around 8-9AM, if I start thinking about something and get back to sleep, the dream I have in the next 30-60 minutes is always about the thing I was thinking about.

Quite handy ;)

Its such a great feeling when you first realise your in a lucid dream for the very first time isn't it?

I can still remember when it happend to me :D
 
I'm a lucid dreamer. It's really fun when it happens (every couple of weeks or so). Had some really surreal dreams where I've done some things that have really scared me lol
 
damn!! i hate it when a thread like this comes up. im soooo jealous of all the people who can control their dreams to do whatever they want.. :( i want to feel what its like to jump off a cliff and survive a landing. or jump over a whole city and view it from the sky. any tips for tonight!? what is the best tip? i used to look at my watch all the time and think to myself "am i dreaming?" it kinda worked...not very well though,
 
I thought that's how all dreams worked. LOL I can pretty much control anything and everything "within" the dream however the setting is always pretty ridgid. I can bend the rules but not break them.
The other night I was floating (on the sea) in a box and wanted to get out ...
the box then bumps into the shore and falls over.. Sorted. :D
I couldn't suddenly go from the box to say someone's house or the pub or anything. it has to be relative. If I try and force it I wake up. :(
I was a bit stuck though the other night, on a deserted Island, didn't know what to do first, make shelter or go find some food. LOL

I just can't believe I remembered to hold my nose and try to breath in the dream. It was pretty cool when I could breath and it suddenly clicked. I wasn't 100% sure so I tried the jump and it was wicked. I can't remember it as vividly as I had hoped having read other peoples comments but it is a start :)
 
I remember a few from when I was a kid, when I was superman :D I was able to controll where I was flying etc, that was awsom. I was also able to hover in mid air too. Never really thought much of it! Will have to give this ago sometime, it really does sound great :D
 
I jjumped into the sea with the laptop under my arm just now, thought to myself, that was a ****ing stupid thing to do, (very unlike me to be that careless) so climbed out walked up to the girlfriend who was led in a field of short green grass, the sun was beating down, she had a lovely tan and then I thought, wait a minute, when did I get a girlfriend...
Ahhh I remember this thread, I'll try the holding the nose technique, yup can still breath. Good that means the laptop isnt knackered. :D
But almost immediatly after, if this is a dream I can wake up, and I did. :(

Never mind, lunch is ready. :D
 
hmm dont think ive ever had this type of dream.

usahlly quite often when i go to sleep within 10-15mins of drifting i get a spazum or flinch if it was and wake up. often think im falling


My gf talkes in her sleep , quite funny to listen to shes always shopping tho when she does this (in her dream/talk)
 
Just thought... Isn't it also really rare to dream in colour?
That was one of the things I looked at and thought (before I held my nose) this must be real as it "looks" real.
One thing I haven't done in the past is try and analyse what's going on in them, but rather to just go with the flow in it..
