Renowned journalist resigns in protest of attacks on press freedom

Dont worry these people are a noisy minority who give the false impression that everyone agrees. Your average person does not engage online and they like Trump. Look at the speakers corner threads it is the same people who post over and over double and even triple posting. When someone else goes in there thier little heads nearly explode.

This isn't conjecture either. From a recent report "Britain's Choice: Common Ground and Division in 2020s Britain" :

Always bear the above in mind if at any point you find political debate online appears unanimous & is about to influence your opinion on something :)

This seems the rather indoctrinated tone. However factually, he has done more HARM for America than any recent leader.

Fixed it for you.

I can’t wait till he wins again, but this time it’ll be so sweeet.

See you in 48hrs. Be sure to come back to this thread. Win OR Lose.

Don't be a sad loser okay? or a sad winner like last time starting an investigation into voter fraud when he won. How sad is that?!

Basically, a journalist called Glenn Greenwald wanted to cover the Biden scandal that social media have been actively suppressing, mainstream media have black holed and OCUK locked the thread I made on but he wasn't allowed to, so he has resigned in protest.

We keep hearing that Trump is attacking the freedom of the corporate mainstream media but here we have evidence of the corporations themselves attacking the freedom of their own journalists.

Have modern journalists just become glorified script readers for billionaires?

Basically? Thats his version which you have accepted without question because its fits your CT theories and you didnt even bother reading his founding partner's version of it?

So here's a test guys, try and find this video on youtube with the search function, it has 1.1m views so should be easy to find by searching "Creepy Joe Biden" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H5NJZMDumY&ab_channel=MixClipMax

Except it doesn't come up.

Now put "Creepy Joe Biden" into Google and sort by videos, oh look it's the top one. Almost like it has been hidden on purpose. I wonder how many Trump videos are hidden on purpose?

This is big tech companies and the media rigging the election by the way.

You just dont know how to use Youtube.

If you search "Creepy Joe Biden" it doesnt come up on the first page granted but thats cause there are so many other videos about "creepy Joe Biden" which are getting more recent comments or views that means they come higher up on the results page.

If you re-sort to number of views order then it still only appears 12th as there are 11 other videos about "Creepy Joe" with millions more views and comments than the video you are complaining about it not been there,.

In fact there are 112 videos on "Creepy Joe".

So I really dont get that they are hidden at all.

Do you have a second YouTube account for testing this stuff?

It was bad enough when I let my young daughter use my YouTube account once, a month of My Little Pony videos being recommended.

So, your outright incompetence at using the Youtube search function means that big tech must be rigging the election.

Sure. Okay Roar87. Whatever you say.

As @Werewolf points out, your OP that, "Look! The Guardian is covering a story that the mainstream media refuse to cover", wasn't really the strongest start to this latest CT nutjob thread.

Alas no and I forgot about that when I used my main account,. I will look forward to all the Creepy joe and Trump fanatic videos I am going to get for the next month now! GRRRRRRR

Ignoring the Election for a moment. Big tech companies are stifling plurality of opinion. The Barrington Petition for instance which was created by genuine experts not nutkins CT types was effectively hidden by Google for a few days under their we know best policy. A search for the Barrington Petition wouldn't bring the petition up. These companies have massive power and after being relatively neutral for a decade are actively moulding the "truth" people see based on their own political outlooks. If Google, Twitter and Facebook weren't such monopolies it wouldn't be such an issue. Newspapers and TV have plurality of political outlooks and owners and nothing like the level of dominance (in the UK really only the BBC comes close).

So if I didn't know that video existed, and I searched for videos of Joe Biden being creepy, is it normal that a video with 880 views should come up before a video with 1.2m? I'm saying exactly that is the issue, the video is being hidden, and @Greebo is saying I don't know how to search for it? Are you not that bright? I'm talking about someone who didn't know the video existed being prevented from seeing it due to it being deliberately hidden, and you're saying I'm just not searching for it correctly? lmao

There's no nuance whatsoever in the second question and no attempt either to discuss the effect that filter bubbles have on these groups. Especially since it appears to focus on twitter (can't tell beyond that), where I can guarantee most people willfully ignore opinions (most of it is just regurgitating rhetoric, trolling and bots) that don't confirm whatever their bias is, if not outright blocking them assuming they actually bother to have an account.

Obviously not really in the scope of the research, but it's not unimportant as on the face of it this paper implies that the first group has some obscene power merely due to their eminent presence, whereas in reality it is mostly isolated between the individuals of said group and that is undoubtedly true for all the other groups as well. I'm also rather sure that the overwhelming presence of one group likely suppresses everyone else as they feel it's pointless, leaving only the rhetoric ranters and trolls... which creates a negative association with regards to the suppressed individuals who are dragged down through generalisation.

The result is that the internet is a toxic wasteland that isn't worth engaging in too much, goodness knows what decades more of this state of affairs will do to the social and political beliefs of generations that are growing up in this environment. I presume nothing good considering what is already evident from the first generation affected by it, at least the older generations have a learning curve to justify their ignorance of how things like youtube's algorithm or facebook's targeted adverts function, that just isn't the case for people who've grown up with these platforms, there is no excuse.
