Resident Evil 1 remake on PC due 2015

Doesn't Barry save Jill if you don't use the broken shotgun? Plus if he does save you he also gives you some acid rounds for the nade launcher iirc.

He did on the original PSX version. The Gamecube remake he doesn't save you. I did't try on the PC. Used the broken shotty instead.

Yeah, they could have put a bit more effort in to some of the details. They made inventory items high res in the RE4 remaster, yet have left them blurry in this for some reason.

Still, enjoying it a lot so far. My completion time is going to be awful with the amount of backtracking I have had to do due to a broken door knob and just generally forgetting every single puzzle from when I played it 10 years or so ago. I'll play through again with Chris and try and get a more respectable time.

I hear you bro. A broken knob can cause a lot of trouble!

Bloody dog whistle puzzle peed me off. Had to google it in the end and disappointed with myself but doubt i would have solved it.

Completed all the original Resi games as a child and struggling now in my twenties :p

So it doesn't work properly on widescreen, I guess ultra widescreen is out of the question...
2560x1080 works but you only get a 16:9 image no way to stretch it as they are pre-rendered backgrounds just edit the CONFIG.ini file in:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\CAPCOM\Resident Evil - biohazard@HD REMASTER

Even though this is dated looking the gameplay is king its not until you sink 4-5 hours in & look at the clock do you realise how much actual gameplay there is (even if a lot of it is revisiting the same locations).

I like some of the new touches Capcom have added as well as the new locations if your a RE fan its well worth buying IMO.

Aye it's very good for pacing too, which I didn't really rate the original for as you ended up getting the best guns in the first 2-3 hours then it was easy, but in this the ammo seems to dry up at that point to keep it hard (harder than the start too IMO due to enemy types).

It's a must buy for RE fans and should be strongly considered for people who like proper survival horror games with a pretty decent plot that utilises the environment for clever puzzles.

the sandwich comment was also there for me too :D ive been through the dodgy knobbed door a few times without it breaking either. i think it breaks at a certain point, like when you've acquired a certain key item.

so, is everyone killing everything they see or are they dodging most enemies? i cant help but feel i should be killing and burning everything.

It's been amusing reading comments on Reddit from people who've never played the original games, particularly those who are advocates of RE6 etc. There is an abundance of juveniles complaining about the lack of an auto save feature and the sparsity of ammo etc.
