Shoot the bell of the church from the main house's roof to skip the village brawl and it just worked.

@mrk also you don't need to fight the Garrador on first encounter, you can just open the gate and run.

Man you guys are miles ahead of me already, I only get a hour or so a night so just got onto chapter 3 last night.
Enjoying it very much so far but my 3060ti is really struggling, having to use fsr which I hate, very blurry.

Hints at the next game they are going to remake:

Excella Gionne and that circle ground piece from RE5.

What res you running? that's surprising that it's struggling :o
I'm running a 4k oled but in 21:9 so 3840x1600, yeh the card is far too weak now for that resolution but coped admirably in games until recently.
With fsr quality I get 60 to 100fps on medium settings, which would be great if it was dlss quality but I can't get on with fsr at all.

You should install the DLSS mod which is much better^

I'm now just over 13 hours play time, no idea how I've managed that, essentially finished around 4am iirc on launch night

This marks the first time in memory I have piled so many hours into a game in such a short space of time.

I'm amazed at how well balanced the dark scenes in this are once you greatly reduce the vignette using RE Framework. Take this area for example, all the details in the dark subtly visible, with Vignette on, it just surrounds the frame in pure black which was annoying. Vignette should have been an option in settings but at least RE Framework is easy to install and use.

And one of the stand out moments for me so far is the blinded charger beast in the dungeon, just sneaking around him then getting a charge run with all the particles and the sound, superb:

It works properly now? Last I checked a few days ago it was not working apparently.
