Resident Evil 7!!!

Wonder how many of them setting's will be turned off on the PS4 Pro

Really don't no where I want to play this on my PC or PS4 pro, if they are graphically the same Ill go for the sofa option.
Most and that's not even all the PC settings either. PC will by far offer the best experience & on the couch is easy on PC as well!

I'll be playing this on PSVR, looks Amazingingly frighteningy.

Will probably end up playing it on a second generation Vive when they come out. I look forward to it, but for now playing it on monitor will have to do.

Let us know how it is on PSVR :)

I'm playing The Evil Within now which plays very much like Resident Evil 4, no surprise given it was made by the same guy but for anyone who hasn't tried it, it's a great fix to get you in the mood for Resident Evil 7 - unless of course they've changed the game mechanics completely. I'm really enjoying it though...

Picked it up a steam key for £4 yesterday. The only thing I do not like so far is you cannot save where you want and check points can be long at times. Otherwise it is definitely a great fix to get you in the mood for Resident Evil 7 :)

I tried evil within demo but found it frustrarting to have the player character forced to a snails pace in certain areas etc, put me off a bit. Does it free up control as you get into it?

Thats part of its magic ramping up the atmosphere, it tells a story. I wouldn't want to be wall running in an exo suit throughout the game.

Demo was nicely paced looking forward to the rest.

I played the demo for the first time yesterday with PSVR.

I hadn't played it prior to then, despite the demo being available for 6 months or so, in various iterations.

Its certainly a lot different to previous games in the series, though I picked up a photograph which had an umbrella logo on it so I'm sure there will be links to previous games. It worked great in VR. It's the 1st 'First person' game I've played where you move with the controller (as opposed to teleporting around like Batman Arkham VR)

It was very good and there were a few brown pants moments. Still haven't managed to complete it with the good ending either.

Thats not quite what im getting at, i agree its not a faced paced game but beig forced to limp (literally) got tiring, its like the microwave bit in mgs4 just holding forward for an age :D

So am i right in thinking this doesnt have VR support on pc? I remember seeing it was a psvr exclusive in that regard a while back?

this is a few months old but unless anything has changed thats a shame for pc VR fans

http://www.pcgamer.com/resident-evil-7-vr-is-exclusive-to-playstation-vr-for-a-year/

It's a timed exclusive for PSVR, most probably for the purpose of shifting units, but also because the likes of Oculus and the Vive would put it to shame in terms of graphical fidelity.

That's not actually true. PSVR in some ways looks better as it doesn't have as much of a screen door effect as the Vive. They are lighter, more comfortable and easier to 'plug and play' as well

I used a Vive as part of Derren Browns Ghost train ride and prefer the PSVR because the screen-door effect was so pronounced on the Vive.
