This is why I decided just to wait for second gen Vive. It will more than likely be the finished article. Wireless out of the box, lighter more comfortable and no screen door effect etc. Hopefully higher resolution and cheaper price tag too, but that might be asking for too much

I used a Vive as part of Derren Browns Ghost train ride and prefer the PSVR because the screen-door effect was so pronounced on the Vive.

I'd wager that many graphical compromises were made in order to make Resident Evil 7 playable on PSVR.
You're kidding yourself if you think a £349 headset competes with a premium model on PC.

I doubt there's as much difference as you'd like to think though.

The PSVR games run at 120hz.

Wonder if the game will contain bits that are made to more show off vr than work well without it

For example, early 3d movies in the cinema would have something tacky like fly right up to the screen and watching without 3d made it seem pant?

Not sure time will tell im just glad for the change of direction

Don't think so, it was primarily developed as a first person horror and VR was added as an additional way to play.

The limp does disappear at the end of that level - don't let it put you off. Your movement speed is actually a key game mechanic for some of the combat later on - with stamina in short supply and expensive to upgrade...

Well with it being a 12 month wait for PC VR I'm hoping that a 2nd gen vive comes along and they have had the time to improve it for the better processing power of the hardware for PC

Be sad if they didn't.

Although not quite sure i'll be able to hold off buying a PSVR. If they weren't sold out already I'm pretty sure i would have buckled already

Shame i didn't have the pro when it released Oct

Ah well i will hopefully get my hands on one by end of Jan.

I've not managed to get out the first room on the psvr demo, too scared to move. Keeping my gaming to rainbows and unicorns

Are their things that pop out like those dogs from the original resident evil?

That kind of sudden stuff gets a scare out of me, but otherwise I know it is not real so it is kind of hard to get scared.

Big fan of the original series, certainly it harks to that. No way in hell*pun I'm playing it till it's locked in the isolating world of vr... the ultimate playing with the lights out.

Not seen it on steam, but is is definitely coming. Probably more towards the end of 2017 I would imagine though. To be honest I am more excited and looking forward to Resident Evil 2 Remake than Resident Evil 7

Those are my favourite moments, when something comes bursting out suddenly. Those get a jump out of me and with great music it is fun
