Resident Evil 7!!!

I want to but really struggle to hand over more than £5 for DLC given the average price I've paid for my 400+ games is £6. Might have to wait for a sale...

What you on about the new Not A Hero DLC is free you crazy man.

Really enjoying playing through the Not A Hero DLC. Love the Res Evil style of action a la RE4, 5, 6 and The Evil Within games. I've just got past the part with the Liquid Nitrogen and whilst I have been picking up shotgun shells I haven't come across an actual shotgun yet - can anyone playing this confirm if this is right or have I missed it some how?

Noooooo! I want my shotgun! I want my shotgun! :D I still have access to the main hub with the tape recorder and storage box - do you remember where you found it? Maybe I can still go back for it...

Nah sorry not a clue, I only played up to the first boss so far. But it was very early on, just after you run into Lucas maybe.

Don't worry it was me being stupid. You start with the Shotgun all along - I though it was an Assault Rifle because it has red dot iron sights and didn't really sound like a shot gun I didn't think. Just finished it there. Loved it. Too few games like this around these days.

Yeh funny you thought that, as I thought it was an assault rifle at first too until I realised it was taking shotgun ammo.

Yah no games like this on the horizon either I'm afraid, all I can think of is resi 2 remake and maybe metro might count played on hard......but not really.

So I've picked up the Gold edition and am in the old house with my 'wife' trying to kill me with a chainsaw. Not sure where I'm going wrong but I've got the gun and shoot her repeatedly but it doesn't do much to her - I'm aiming for the head by the way.

I really need...a hand :)

What difficulty have you got it on? Anything above the "normal" difficulty then it will take a fair few headshots to kill her. One tip I will give you - you don't have to stay in the small room that you start the fight in... you can kite her around the upstairs section, but other than that, keep unloading into her face and she'll go down eventually :p

Thanks, finally did it. Very frustrating and I used probably about 20 bullets (though I did shoot a couple of times when she was down...). Looks like I'm invited to a family dinner now...

Not A Hero is free & yet 200% better than End Of Zoe which is £11.99 (or part of the season pass!) go figure Capcom doing what they do best

Oh really? Is the End of Zoe a bit longer at least?
Nope its way less & also looks dull (all at night grey, brown & black) plus is more or less RE7 main game with left right melee combat ONLY zero puzzles & boring 1 route only layout! I think Capcom should have reversed the DLC made End Of Zoe free & Not a Hero paid for DLC as its much longer, looks good in places to due to extreme HDR lights & ultra high quality HDR shader FX & actually feels like a RE level from the old classics RE1+2 (mid 1990s era originals that is)!

That is disappointing then - way over priced at £12. I suppose you could look at it from the perspective that if you consider one of the DLCs is free then £6 for each is a fairer price but I'd still be miffed if I'd paid £12 for an hours play for End of Zoe.

A little off topic, are the HDR shaders you mention for sweetfx?

Can you post a link to them, I wouldn't mind trying them out.

Thanks

Sorry they are ingame HDR shaders. On Win 10 you enable HDR in the game menu then just play the game but even with HDR off the included HDR shaders look very pretty most of the time HDR Enabled is overkill as it makes it even brighter  ;)
