The last time you meet Duke he hints that maybe you should spend that money! Hinting that you are near the end.

I upgraded, crafted everything etc at that point and used my magnum and nade launcher as I knew we were nearing the end and didn't need to be as careful with ammo.
Yeah, I noticed that also and spent all my money, but still for some reason I left the magnum ammo until last just in case :p

Just found a couple of 'secret' areas with lots of stuff and also learnt that treasures can be combined to make them more valuable not that I really need the cash.
Bloody hell, you missed a lot. I felt the game did a good job showing which items were combinable. I found and combined everything and made loads of cash.

And then there is the goats, I know I have not got them all as to be honest I have not been looking for them.

Ha! I avoided shooting the goats initially. There was a warning on the first one about invoking the wrath, so i thought if i shot them i would get harder/extra battles. It was only when i shot one accidental, i realised it was just another stat/trophy to collect!

The factory was too long and the one part that didn't seem to fit for me.

Hesiemberg also could have been a far more interesting fight if they used his powers well

Yes, but more a progressive boss. Fight his human form, when you think he is beat, he morphs into something more powerful for another round of battle. You know? Like other Res Evil bosses!!

Missed opportunity.

Never been a fan of bosses, probably as I am usually quite useless at defeating them, my reactions are far slower these days. Anyway so far so good but I must say the propeller man was a bit of a pain.
On to the next, lol.

Gotta say I quite enjoyed Village - not my favourite RE (that's probably the 2 remake) but overall it was fun. The story's bat-**** crazy (well, crazier than usual) but the environments are very well realised for the most part. Not too much replayability though - the 'Challenge' system is pretty lame and the post-game weapons (other than the S.T.A.K.E, which is god-tier) are underwhelming. I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10.

Had trouble with the last boss as I only seem to be tickling it so had to change the difficulty, but perhaps I did not have the best weapons to hand.

Talking of change I think a name change is in order as it was not a Resident Evil game, I remember my first on the PS1 it was such a revelation.

On to another playthrough with the help of Google to get all the side quests I missed the first time around.

I finished it on standard and the last boss used up all the ammo I took

I used pistol, shotgun, sniper and grenade launcher, I had no magnum ammo prior to that as used on another boss but I suspect if I did it would have made the fight quicker

I forgot I had a magnum but will use it this time around making sure I have plenty of ammo with everything else being fully upgraded.
