Controversial for controversial sake (and of course for the 'likes' and views).

  • Can't comment on the graphic issue - played on console
  • Do agree with Ethan being whiney - was annoying, although he didn't know what he knew at the end ;)
  • You have to combine items, solve puzzles and search to move on? Who'd have thought that in a Res Evil game?!
  • Boss fights boring? **** off - rooftop battle was very cool.
  • "Not one ounce of fear in this game" - did he play in the middle of the day with the curtains open? House Benevento, in the dark, late at night, i pooped my pants.
  • Agree with the Moreau/fish battle, red planks equal danger!
  • Combinations - the one he chastised was the first one you come across - this is to show newcomers to the game how to use combo locks. Although that being said, this was the same across all locks, the combination was never too far away :( That could have been done better.
  • Bad guys can't get you in Merchant room - been the same since Res Evil 1! A chance to take a breather and sort your inventory, save game etc - another non-comment.
  • Can only bind 4 weapons - fair point, the option should be there to bind all weapons if you want to.
  • Puzzles not challenging - agree with this.
I guess if you go into a game review planning on being controversial and negative, then this is the review you will come up with. We know it's a video game, but we buy into the atmosphere, the lore etc. because we want to be entertained.

Not perfect, but the game was a solid 9/10 for me. Once i started i HAD to keep coming back, that's a sign of a great game to me.

As I expected this was more of RE 7 with RE 4 vibes thrown on top. Starts of super strong but much like RE7 they run out of steam in the final 3rd of the game. Capcom need to increase the story telling budget massively as at the moment the game story is being capped off by some 13 year old fan fiction.

game looked stunning, those comments from some on here that it looks like a PS4 game is hilarious. Full on trolling or blind.

The under the house bit with the thing with the baby noises really shatmeup. They should have made that longer imo there was a lot of wasted fear with the multiple cupboards, I only used one once and got out. As much as I was filling my nappy it should have carried on for 4x the time

I was not scared, but more annoyed and disturbed by it. Not looking forward to that bit when I replay it eventually.

Done 3 bosses so far.

Really enjoying this game :) just done the 2nd boss/lord area and that was  lol Taking my time searching for everything.

Anyone else getting a weird fps issue? Twice now on different bits of the game my frames would drop right down to 30 for about 20 seconds and then goes back to normal again, without me moving to. Really strange because where its happened its not graphics intensive scenes. Other than that my performance is good.

Finished it this evening at 7hours 28 minutes, steam says 11 hour for some reason.

Anyway 9/10 I enjoyed it what stopped it being a 10 was the factory part, dragged on for me and Heisenberg could have had so much more to him.

Some good twists in the story too, liked the epilogue as well.

Certainly leaves some story threads to move on with in the franchise
