Having two broadcast monitors, i only had one SCART to BNC cable that i had built and it was a pain to keep unplugging the cable to use the other monitor so i thought i needed to build another cable. Built one last night so i now have 2 cables so can use both monitors.

Buliding this cable has meant i can now enjoy my little Sony 14" PVM more now. The picture it produces is ridiculously good. Not bad for a £10 monitor :D

I have finally added Zelda A Link to the Past to my boxed SNES NTSC collection! This is 100% complete in really nice condition with all the flyers, posters, hint book and map (the map is behind the manual in the resealable bag).

I have just soldered in a battery holder and inserted a fresh CR2032 battery so I can start my adventures

I have that Zelda in good nick....but yours looks brand new!

I bought the manual off Ebay as I was missing that...but can't find the map anywhere cheap.

Its in very nice shape for the age, couple minor creases to the box and general wear from use. Sadly the manual again while very nice did had a few minor user written notes on the items pages, something the seller neglected to mention. Overall and the price I paid I doubt anyone would find a better example these days.

I just need to get a boxed Castlevania IV next and then save my pennies for Chrono Trigger eek!

No finds this week.

Last weeks finds!
The DSi as new £20 plus the Game assessories thing and Brain Training.
£8 for the rest. A few Xbox demos have not got the DVD there but they would otherwise have been binned. The highlights here being the Mario Party games at a quid each.
My goodness Soldier Of Fortune is crap on the PS2. It may be the Gold Edition with all extras but the frame rate is mediocre and the controls are terrible!

An Ebay buy this week. It was £31.03 delivered but I don't care!
A real piece of SNES history :).

Just dusted off the SNES and played Super Mario World with a house mate, started at 10pm and only finished a little while ago.

So much fun!

I started playing Zelda last night :). Good so far!
The best game I have played on the SNES by a fair margin was Super Mario World. I bought Yoshi's Island but somehow it gives me motion sickness?!

what does the cartridge add to the top right one?

Memory cartridge, 4 or 8MB if I remember correctly. Helps KOF play better with frames and reduces loading times. a lot of SNK and Capcom fighting games used them. Thats why 2D games were better on the Saturn than the PS1, Xmen VS Street Fighter had proper tag like the arcade version. PS1 version didn't, unless you used a cheat code which was limited.

Always wanted Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the Saturn but had to settle for the PS1 version as its easier to find:(

I love little add on accessories like that! I only just found out (on here) and was amazed that the N64 Expansion Pak was used for more games than just DK64! I am tempted to collect all the games that use it (if I win the lottery :p)

a lot of people think that because it was shipped with the N64 Expansion Pak as it was required for the game. Perfect Dark, Majora's Mask and even South Park made the most of the Expansion Pak.

King of fighters PAL is worth £50 alone if you can get the outer sleeve.
Where did you get all the items from?

Everything is from ebay, I used the follow and email options so 90% of my purchases end up being BuyitNow's which have gone up stupidly cheap.

The cheapest out of that 6 was clockwork night for £1.70 delivered.

The most expensive won't be a shock, KoF 95, £18 delivered.

KOF95 used a ROM cart which afaik is used for the 2D backgrounds.
The cart is useless for other games though and I don't think any other games had just a ROM cart., even later KOF games (feel free to correct me!).
would love a copy of KOF 95....as mentioned above SOOO much money though :(

I am still in shock of my Saturn charity shop find!
I still have not properly played KOF95 though! I quite like the Arcade style Batman game which is rare too.
Most Saturn games are awful but these are good!
I am no Sega hater, but Daytona and Sega Rally have aged as badly as a game could (same view with Ridge Racer PS1 btw).
It is such a shame that >50% of good Saturn titles were Jap only.

After 2.5 years I am FINALLY playing Zelda on the SNES. Wow it is a masterpiece!

EDIT: A few weeks ago I got an Asian a Action Replay for the Saturn. It was boxed and has the serial port on top of the cart.
Someone on Ebay tried to sell me 150 Jap games for £180........so much want but no can do as I need a new bathroom.
