not much to read up on really :)

Legacy bound items can be sent between all characters in your legacy. Its a good way to move mods and enhancements between characters (as long as the gear is modable of course)
 
So being a huge Star Wars fan I'm going to give this another go. I think I have a level 40ish Jedi Sentinel? Is it worth levelling this up or just starting from level 60 when the new content drops?

I haven't played for a long time but I remember the class stories being great, I'd level up normally. I understand now the levelling experience has been greatly enhanced, so you can comfortably level up with story missions only (no grind).

As a questione for everyone: What is PvP like now? I remember it being fun, bit a bit clunky. Ive got a level 40ish Merc on Red Eclipse and I am considering resubbing. I was in a OCUK guild, but that was about a year ago and I can't even remember the name of it.

TBH, I would level that character as the story experience from 1 to 50 is pretty good, I personally do not like the new content at all. I still enjoy the game just not the levelling experience from 60 to 65, but if you doing it as a once off its ok I guess, loads of people love it.

I like the PvP in this game, but mostly the world PvP, which you would not experience on RE.

That being said I do a lot of WZ's as well and enjoy them for the most part.

4.0 has just come out and its still all sinking in. A lot has changed and I'm still a bit unsure of it all.
They've dumbed down a lot of things - class stats for example - but made some things a lot better - the 4.0 storyline is good and the cut scenes and gfx are a real improvement over the old 1.0 stuff you remember.

I'm still enjoying the game and the new content will keep me entertained for a while. Good to get back into raiding, even if it is the old content scaled for level 65, my guild have been waiting a while for raid stuff to do again.

The F2P model is still pretty restrictive and requires a lot of purchases to really play like a subscriber can. Personally I still think my sub fee is money well spent.
 
Who do I have to message for an invite? Messaged loads of people via /who after searching for the guild but I get no reply.
 
I cracked and subbed again for this to try out all the new changes. I haven't played since it was level 50 as the cap so I have a lot of catching up to do!
Rolled a Jedi Consular on TOFN as I was an inquisitor before I quit and hadn't played through the republic side at all. When i get on later I'll give someone a shout in the guild for an invite if that's ok?
 
So, with the changes in 4.0 I no longer need to worry about gear and weapons for my companions. Can I just strip them and let them run round in their shreddies and they'll still do the same as if they were clothed/armed?

Enjoy...they're stupidly powerful at the moment.

No

But they did rescale it so you only need to do the class missions and the main planet line (all marked as purple mission icons) to progress. All other missions are classed as exploration missions and are optional.

Thought you could just do class now and still be enough to level to 55?
