Beat me to it. Some normal wheels would set that off a treat (thinking H Plus Son Archetype rims?), the deep ones just look wrong.

Archetypes look awesome (says the man with three pairs).

The wheels are back to front!

No, it's bike that's back to front. The wheels are in the right place.

Also, check out the valve length on the shallow rim. /shudder.

Is this becoming an 'elbows too pointy' meme thing?

Are you suggesting that bikes are like women, in so far as you need to ride them before you're allowed to judge them aesthetically? ;)

Okay, here is a nicer De Rosa IMO and one for uniQ although it is Campag!

Give me a black saddle and black tape and I'll have it!

EDIT: You might appreciate the rest of this guy's Cervelo collection.

It's a nice bike but I prefer this colourway:

That guy has good taste, all R series :) The silver one is top of my list to replace my Ti at the moment. Edit is the bottom one an R3 MUD? They're rare as ****.

I think my money-no-object wheelset would be Campagnolo Boras or Cosmic Carbone Ultimates.

Hmm should probably work instead of browsing bike porn!

Ah, fair enough. It always seemed to me to be too risky to use the tri bars on the road. I see your point, though. It's not as though you're going to be surprised by traffic lights and junctions - you can see them for a long time before you get them, after all. I am surprised by how much of a difference getting down on the drops has made - my average speed on my commute home last week was 25.2km/h, this week it's been 26.9km/h. The reality for me is that I should work on losing the extra 7kg or so of weight I'm carrying before I consider things like tri bars.

Yeah exactly, I see quite a few people round here using them too. When I first put the tri bars on though I remember getting an extra mph on my averages easily, in some cases 2. It's especially noticeable I to wind. I remember one section I was testing it on the hoods and I could just hold 14mph into wind up a slight incline, same effort on the tri bars and I was doing 17mph.

Also that r5ca is just sensational. Do want.

Unless you're right up the front fighting for a box of chocolates :D

Apparently they're having a 'handicap night' next week as it gets towards end of season. In theory everyone starts at different times but finishes at roughly the same time, should be a laugh.

If only I had my multi tool with me, could fit the bars for the commute home and get practicing.
