I'm at Clapham Common, about 30mins from RP too, but you'd be coming back on yourself to meet at RP.

Anyway, I'm sure we can sort something out. I'm also an early rider and like to get out for sunrise or earlier. Less traffic that way.

Local clubs round here are super serious ones. Sundays tend to be 4/5/6 hours 80/100 milers etc and with a wife & 2 kids, no way can I get 4/5/6 hours to myself. 2 or 3 nights a week training etc.

I wish there was a few more "relax" cycling clubs around here but their isn't anything I can find without about 1 hour each way to just the meeting point!

You should be able to find a relaxed club! Yes there are some serious ones, but keep looking for one that will cater to your requirements.

I need to look into a cycling club around here really. The ones I've ran into so far are either for super old men or for stupid laddish men that seem like idiots.

I'd probably want something a little less hardcore than several 100 mile rides per week too :p

Head out with Manchester Wheelers, they meet at the Gateway pub near Parrs Wood cinema. They do an intro ride on the first Sunday of each month and are friendly types - I just don't have time to get out with them as much as I'd like.

Rather jealous of the few cyclists I've seen out this morning - lovely day with sunshine and blue skies, 10 degrees or so. Would be perfect for a good few miles with some CakeMyRide action.

Yes :(

It sucks having a job that doesn't comprise of riding your bike.

The only time I can really get out is at the weekend. I couldn't do anything last weekend, and this weekend will comprise of a couple small rides. So frustrating!

And today I strictly WON'T be visiting the Motors part of this forum. I love my cars but the morons who use that part of the forum really upset me. Reminds me why I don't use that part of the forum like I used to.

weather looks dull, report says no rain until tonight, I go out thinking its quite warm, Heavy rain/hail as soon as I get 1/4 a mile up the road, head was hurting so had to come home
I hate the British weather!

55mm shimano etc pads :) 99% sure this will be the case.

been using these for ages.. great pads for the price - 8 in a pack for 8ish quid! and fit my 55mm brakes no problems! my brother has been using them too and he likes them! give them a shot tbh.. can't go wrong for the price

sorry to be a pain, but they are the wrong size, I have tektro brakes on my CX bike, so I don't think they are going to fit ?

First audax of the year on Saturday, hoping the weather is better than the forecast of 20+mph winds with showers.:D
Really haven't done enough riding over the winter months, down to 300 - 400 a month from my usual 750-1000, feeling out of shape.
