That looks pretty severe!

Does anyone else here do other sports apart from cycling? I go bouldering 3 times a week and sometimes I struggle to have enough energy (and time) to fit cycling in too.

I do body-building/powerlifting.. mix of both I'd say :) it's impossible to give 100% on both things for me.. so cycling gets a lot and the rest goes to gym.

basically I get no rest, 7 days a week I'm in the saddle.. then 3 days a week I'm at the gym.. after commuting, cycling etc.

That sure is one extremely sexy saddle.

it does look good! I do hope I get used to it tho haha.

Yep, run as well and recently took up swimming on top. Usually tired! Getting a good nights sleep becomes increasingly important, as does ensuring you eat enough (and enough good stuff). Take last night for example- my cat kept coming in and waking me up, today I've been wiped out.

hi guys,

do you know where i might be able to buy something like this. I want to put it on my top frame for cushioning when carry by bike to my apartment. rather than steel digging into my shoulder.

Put 'bmx frame pads' into eBay. Loads of choice.

you could just man up? it must be like 2-3mins of pain big whoop eh? ;)

Raised on gritty west london i live in a low rise block of council flat with no lift. manning up is not the situation. preventing hoodrats from stealing my bike is.

Something that should cost of couple of quid. Comfort is not something that should be neglected because of lazyness or because you have arnie hench shoulders.

man up and dont wear socks. The papa new guinea walk bare foot: rolleyes:

thank you man.

You i have had 2 bikes stolen, i dont lock it anymore, it goes with me everywhere, inside work and inside my house.

dont lock your bike in shepards bush, hammersmith. trust me this bike initiative going through goverment and borris has cause a surge in bike theft.

these rats that are my age group is what annoys me. they cant be bothered to work or study, rather they take someone elses who has worked hard.

/rant sorry:o

Ask a local bike store? They'll get frames/bikes delivered with stuff like that round them to protect them. My bike was covered in stuff like that when Rose delivered it and i just kept a few bits to use to protect it if i have to clamp it on the work stand or attach to the car rack etc.

Just back from doing the Graeme Obree sportive and my legs are utterly destroyed.

Was a really hard route with lots of short sharp climbs mixed in with the longer ones. Weather was terrible as well, torrential rain the whole time and a nasty easterly to contend with as well. Was pleased to get round with no mishaps as there was a fair few riders came off from what i've heard since i got back.

Best thing was i got to meet the legend himself before i set out - really top bloke.

Aye, you'll get used to it I'm sure. It's always funny that harder saddles tend to be more comfy for long distances.

What's the deal with the rails- just standard, circular twin rails? Suitable for use with alloy seatposts or do you need special grease/ a carbon seatpost?

don't BMX's have those on the frame? they did in the 90s anyway surely shops must sell them?

or just buy a CX bike that usually have the under side of the toptube designed for shoulder carrying :D

well done - I was offered a last minute place but declined when I saw the weather forecast! Top effort in that weather today!

probably :)

they're round carbon rails, nothing special.. I didn't use a special seat post either :o

Woo, I've done my cycling. Did the 25 miles in 1:21, about 18mph average which is huge for me. Very happy with that. Strava tomorrow when I get back to a computer.

Cheers man. It was just starting to drizzle when we l left Hamilton this morning which helped get me out the door. Bucketing down by the time we got to the start though and hasn't stopped since.
