Crap, I'd just resolved on how to tell the other half I was spending £200 on a jacket as well.[DOD]Asprilla;17432509 said:There might not be a next year's. It's a 2009 jacket and isn't listed in their 2010 range so it probably won't be ablout in 2011 either I'm afraid.
Pity, looks brilliant.
Nice letter from the DVLA last night telling my license was being revoked/refused due to my MS medication.
Rang DVLA this morning and im looking at about 3 months hopefully to get it back as long as the "review panel" accept what my neurologist says in a covering letter. Neurologist has been great since he wrote a nice letter to insurance company regards my critical illness cover on the mortgage and it got paid out.
Think i may be looking for a cheap single speed commuter bike to get me from my house to a work colleagues house so i can get a lift to work.
Mars 3 at the back and a Fenix L2D at the front. It works pretty well as a headlight, with 180 lumens.what light combos are people using for commuting - i'm tempted by the blackburn flea 4 but wouldn't mind something for the back of my helmet as well - people with them seem to stand out so much better when i'm driving...
It's certainly looking that way!Are we keeping anything to do with racing and road bikes in this thread these days, and keeping the 'Big Bike Thread' for off-road bikes?
Got another new racer to post up but don't know where to put it now

Not really. I get over an hour and a half from rechargeables on full power which I think is pretty good considering the light it puts out. I normally carry spares if I know I'm going to be out all night, but if I absolutely get stranded it takes AA's.Does the Fenix not absolutely rip through batteries?

If all else fails send me your address and I'll send you one.

Tis a pain. I was expecting a 3 or 5yr renewal license. But I start the appeal next week. No doubt a long drawn out convaluted process.[DOD]Asprilla;17433167 said:Sorry to hear about that, not a nice situation to be in.
Plenty out there and it's all about style (flat bar, bullhorn, drops, etc) just make sure that you avoid CREATE / Unipack bikes or anything form a supermarket. Literal deathtraps.
I'd look at eBay first, there are loads on there (recent and refurbed classics) going for around £200.
