Its here....now I need to wait agonisingly for home time!

Build it in the office and ride it home? Got your toolkit with you? ;)

We're gonna have to find a time when it's not freezing cold to take you up some hills...

Aye, there is a Rivvy club run via Anglezarke on Saturday but I'm not going if the weather is grim, plus its Valentines day so I'm not sure the Mrs will sanction this particular ride. Might be out on Sunday morning if weather is ok and head over to Parbold/Shaley/beacon.

Anglezarke is great. Tough hills either way, particularly heading North to South. Mind you, heading South to North that hill then becomes a pretty ropey descent with a nasty bend at the end, so you can't win!

;) - watch the whole thing, not much to do with external mic

Good find and a fairly simple 'fix'! Will watch it later when I have sound...

I'll assume there is a bike in there not some rubber inflatable doll from china ;):p

Anglezarke is great.

And everyone complains that Welsh names are strange...

Seems good for what Id want to use it for. Some basic audio with good quality video recording.

The footage of the VIRB is fantastic, I've been recording in 1080p and then reducing down to 720p before uploading to YouTube to make things less painful... There is quite a tradeoff in the conversion (see below) but at 1080p (before conversion) you could easily make out car registrations etc! :)

I'll take the plastic lug thing off mine for my commute home - I'll then string 2 videos together (last nights & tonights) for an accurate sound comparison. :)

Wow! That's one of those bikes that i just don't think I'm fast enough to ride.

I'm off the bike for a few days now having just had my wisdom teeth removed. Will maybe try and ride again at the w/end, but not with the fast bunch i don't think.

I'm trying to think of the positives - e.g. marginal gains from the weight loss (2 teeth + soup diet for 48 hours!) and the more aerodynamic cheekbone profile.

Some idiot of a woman tried to not give me way on a roundabout as I was coming over it, she stopped with 30cm of space (otherwise I would have gone over her bonnet. If I had not moved into the inside lane I would have gone over at 20mph. Felt bad for galling her a effin c word, but I was shaking thirty minutes later still trying to do bloods.

My Saturday ride was plagued with bad drivers and I was short on temper so I gave the finger twice and called someone a C word. It's not a great idea, I'm sure, but there was some terrible driving going on and sometimes it's hard to contain yourself...

found a dead worm stuck to the top of my trainer when I returned from a ride earlier :(
disgusting! looked like a piece of straw or something so almost touched it with my bare hand lol

my fitness sucks barely managed 15 miles before my legs wanted to go home but only went out to really test out some padded undershorts.
felt like wearing a nappy, I'm not sure they are big enough for me as they are pretty tight with the padding not going really beyond my sitbones at all just barely covers them.

bit tight in teh groin though really think I need a next size up and thats why the padding ain't flush unless I'm bending over ??? or the padding is just designed to be in the bend over riding state and meant to seem weird when standing?

Last time I take size advice from the comments on a website selling them, almost everyone said go a size smaller so I did

felt a bit uncomfortable towards the end of my ride but a lot better than jeans+boxershorts

They're supposed to be like that, bib shorts are properly uncomfortable when standing up if they're the right size, soon as you bend over the blood can start flowing again.
