I am finally feeling better now, been to the doctors again today, for my blood test results, all ok,
went to the hospital today for an x ray

now my doctor thinks its my asthma so back to a blue inhaler which ive got to use 4 times a day, now I want the weather to warm up so I can get on the bike for the first time in 7 weeks

Do you know How does the pad compare to the aeron pro ? Need a few pairs for the commute/turbo but need something relatively padded still to minimise sore risk.

Here is a comparison shot. Aeron Pro on the right, Flashlight on the left.

The Aeron Pro have a higher grade of cytech pad. I mainly use the flashlight for commuting but have done a 30miler in them before without issue and use them for hour long sufferfest turbo sessions.

How do they size up? Italian sizes or normal?

I'd say they are a tighter fit than their size chart suggests.

I wear an XS and by the chart it says it'd be good for a 31.5" waist. Yeah right! I'm 28" and it's tight...

Mine are waistband shorts though, so the bib short variety might be slightly different.

Lying around for two days in bed has been so goddamn boring. Heading home today though and apparently I'm allowed to use the turbo pretty much straight away. Woo. I thought I'd be off it for a few weeks. Will probably still not try it until Sunday, just to be safe.

Soooo, I start yoga lessons next Thursday. Should certainly be interesting :P

Has anyone else tried it? I've read that it's very good for cyclists.

Don't have a clue what to wear, I'm guessing loose clothing of some description. I had look for Yoga clothes online, but they were uber expensive (£60 for some hemp trousers lol).

Is the flashlight noticably thinner pad?

It's cheap DHB stuff. I just don't rate it.

I dunno, I've got the "best" shorts from Rapha, Assos and Castelli but find the dhb stuff is decent quality and comfortable enough. £40 for 2 pairs of those Flashlights is good value for commuting bibs I reckon.

Like saddles though, what is comfortable varies from person to person.

I'll double check again tonight.

Good news to hear you're feeling better mate and glad they seem to be getting towards the root of the problem!

Bargain alert...

I have these in the waistband variety for commuting and they are great. Decent pad and good reflective print.

Amazing deal, thanks for linking! :D

DHB sizes are fairly 'normal', I've been wearing 'Large' in their Active thermal tights, active normal tights and normal bib shorts.

The sizing for the Active range is the same as the Flashlight range - 92cm waist, 60.5cm thigh. My rough measuring puts me at 98cm waist and 65cm thigh so there is quite a bit of flex in them and I should be wearing Extra Large rather than Large... I'll be ordering some of each sizes (XL & L) then returning which I don't think fit well enough. For that price I'm intending on getting 4 pairs and returning the others I ordered a few days ago... Although pay day is coming up soon so I may not! :p;) (and I'll go from 1 pair of bib-shorts to 7!)

Normal list price of them is £40 a pair so I wouldn't call them cheap, not for me anyway (and you know what I'm like with my budget!) ;)

I've been more than happy with my cheapy DHB Active gear, now if I can get 4 pairs of 'ok' quality bib shorts for ~£70 (platinum discount puts them at £35 for me) when I've been looking at buying a single pair of reduced shorts for ~£50, even my mother would be proud of my cost-saving! ;)

Don't push it too hard mate - 'enjoy' the rest and you could even use it as a rest-short-week with some light turbo on the weekend! :)

I have a L pair of the DHB Active bib shorts (92cm waist, 60.5cm thigh) and I measure at around 98cm waist and 65cm thigh. They do 'fit' but are fairly 'snug'! ;)

Took a rest day today as my last one was last Wednesday (and I Turbo'd both days last weekend). The weather is due to be rubbish tomorrow so I'm intending on a second rest day before my FTP on Saturday/Sunday. Weather on the weekend looks rubbish (wet) so probably won't get another ride in, I'm intending FTP saturday so I can rest Sunday before back to commuting Monday. Feeling slightly guilty as there's no wind today and temperatures showing 4 degrees on my way in - balmy! :o

VIRB Recorded my commute home last night with the speaker 'lug' removed, will chop part of it with Tuesdays also recorded commute home (speaker 'lug' in place) later tonight for whoever wanted a comparison.

810 played up last night and decided to auto-pause while in the middle of my commute, played around start/stop and ended up with 2 activites showing on Strava (and a lump missing in the middle). Will attempt to 'stitch' them together today.

Also noticed I have a ride from earlier in the week which hasn't uploaded to Strava/Garmin connect and won't Sync, what's the easiest way around this - get hold of the .gpx and import it manually?

Heard of others doing it, it's good for core strength and flexibility, both which benefit cycling. Heard pilates is good too, I've not tried either.
