what do you guys get out of interest?
A Garmin or similar with HRM is on my list of things to buy.
I'm already exceeding my own expectations in terms of my cycling.
I'm pretty much exactly the same. (I'm 24, if it matters)

Whoo! My K-edge garmin mount has finally been dispatched from Wiggle.
They've got a few in stock now if anyone wants one.
im 34, so the zones would be far different
220 minus your age gives you a rough idea what your maximum heart rate is, so mine is 186
I'm pretty busy this weekend, I'm afraid. Perhaps next weekend?
I've been thinking about this sort of thing for Christmas, but until I am actually doing long enough tours that GPS mapping is an issue, I don't really feel the need. I think I'll make do with getting a cycle computer, so I can see my instant and average speeds, and a little GPS logger for £40 or so that I can just stick in my pocket, rather than relying on my phone and nuking the battery on that.
I've been ok so far with my phone, just need to make sure its fully charged. I'm thinking about going for one of the basic Garmin ones as I don't want to spend £300 + on the Edge 800 when I'm not sure I will use the extra features.
need new cycle computer
what cheap one would you guys recommend ?
