What's wrong with Red?

Also, how tall are you? Perhaps the 54 plus taller seat post can work?

I'm 5'10". And nothing really wrong with red..it just reminds me of my postman's bike when I used to do that one xmas :p

dont flippin go for the triban3A! its rubbish compared to red one.

I wasn't really aware there was a difference other than the forks. :S Is it really that bad in comparison? best to go for the red and just respray in something I like?

Oli is cool with 7.30am.

I'll send you my mobile number in trust just in case. You must know some decent routes around Surrey? I was planning to take Oli on my route that goes past Epsom Racecourse then to Dorking and up Ranmore Common, then up Chapel Lane and round to Box Hill.

I'll just arrange a pass and then text you. I'll need to be back for 11.

the main reason why triban 3 is such a good value for money is carbon fork and sti shifters.

triban 3A has a steel fork and microshift(Chinese low end in this case) shifters.

At 5'10" I reckon a 54 would be plenty big enough on a Triban 3. I'm 5'9" and went with a mate when he bought his, the 54 was spot on for me. The red Triban 3 is really nice too and the carbon fork makes it amazing value. My mate loves his.

It amuses me that we don't have a cycling sub-forum, yet we have the "On the Water" sub-forum which sees maybe five posts a week at most. Who do we have to bribe in order to rectify this? :)

I quite like how it is tbh. A cycling sub forum would spread us a bit thin as there's probably less than 30 active people that regularly post in this thread.

Oh flipping bloody bugger. Misjudged the length of my ride today and fell 8km short of the last May Massive badge. I know it's an arbitrary goal but I refuse to not reach 1000km after getting up bright and early today. Singlespeed detour trip to the shops later with Strava on :p

That'd be annoying. I was happy enough to get to 250km for the month and that involved a bit of a last minute rush after not riding at all over the bank holiday weekend due to a stag do / hangover.

I made up the difference with a relaxing ride by the river on the singlespeed. First time I've ever rode with music, don't like it, kept checking behind me to see if anyone was going to need past. OCD from the roads I guess.

After he looked at the Giro, or arguably all year, Wiggins was unlikely to be showing anyone who the boss is. It's sad he can't mount even a token/ceremonial defence but it would have been tough to see him in the same sort of pain as the Giro.

So just upgrading some of my stuff so ordered a black Kask Mojito earlier in the week. The kind folks at Wiggle gave me a black and red Vertigo instead but now I don't know whether to keep it or return it for a different mojito. Just seems like too much of a bargain to return!

Anyone owned or used both and know which is better? Mainly got it to stop the infamous mushroom head but never been able to try both on together to compare

Either way, it's much nicer then my old giro thingy

I've been boycotting this thread since I fractured my toe in an attempt to avoid the feeling of missing out.

Now, one week later, I have managed to get out on the bike. And even in this short time it seems like ages since I last went for a ride. I've missed it.
