Route I've got planned for sunday - A brief leg stretch, a blast up haugh woods (Strava goal on segment), followed by a fairly flat route for some good leg stretch miles to test my pacing with probably some threshold efforts. Majority of it along roads I've ridden lots so I can concentrate on form, route then goes south to scout out some lesser-known roads with a couple of hills at the end to test my legs when tired near to home. Quite high miles for me (as I've slacked off after my sportive), but many options to cut short and head home.

Error: Tumble not found.

(enjoy :p)

We're all going to end up wearing the same kit :p

Ordered bibs and jersey. Red and black (+ some white) seems to be my general theme to match the bike a little :D

Ha! Yeah I know but my mate doesn't feel up for it yet, so we're waiting until the warmer weather is a definite! Thanks :p
Like the look of that jersey, so got one!

I'm going to look like a complete twit if they're garbage now! 99% sure as I felt a jersey in the shop (@£45) and figured I'd just buy DHB instead for commuting (cheaper & more colours). Now they're £30 I'm really tempted!

Guess it depends what they have on Saturday (if I can get there). Ideally I want the rain jacket (£90) and Gilet (£50). If they're both in stock I can't justify another £70 on bibs/jersey, but if either isn't I'll be tempted. Especially the jersey...

Current bibshort count: 11

I figure for 30 even if it isn't great it'll fit better than my older commutting gear that is like a wind sock now. I like the look of the rain jacket but £140 is a bit steep. Might plump for the new Rapha wind one with 20% off for £96.

I like Morvelo's description of their own Speedsuit.

You know we love racing, right? Who doesn't love the feeling of going as fast as you can? Well now we can help you go faster! We have absolutely no scientific data to support our claims. No wind tunnel testing. No Pro Teams to try it out in glittering international TTs. No overwhelmingly confusing technical data. All we can tell you is that you'll feel as fast as as Nibali plunging down a mountain with a Grand Tour at stake. We could go on about how we use multiple fabrics to help increase aerodynamics and breathability blah blah blah but what's the point? You'll look fast and feel fast. And that is the point.

How to not sell a product.

HAHA, I actually think that's brilliant, compare that to Galibier, whose products I love, I emailed them asking for this and they tried to provide some rubbish but in essence they had no data for it but wouldn't admit it.

I'd be worried about wheel falling into the tram line with a tram :D

Double decker buses are pretty good for drafting effect as you can sit a couple of car distances behind. Issue: they stop at bus stops.

Good looking ride for Sunday there Roady!

Going to go plan some routes for the weekend. Weather looks set to hold at around 19C. Not as hot as we had in May (was 36C or so in the sun )

The jackets are £90 or £95 in the shop, which is why I'm tempted! Speaking to a clubmate who has one, he was riding in the torrential rain we had 2 days ago and didn't get wet...! I was previously comparing them to something like a jacket Perfetto or NoRain but sounds more like they're closer to the Alpha!:D
Morvelo jersey arrived today. Very nice for just £24. (No it's not grandma curtain style.. this one - http://www.morvelo.com/bloc-orange-mens-ss-jersey.html)
Actually one of the ones I looked at, just failed to note the price was that low! Great looking jersey, interested to hear how you get along with it :)
Bibs and top ordered - see what the sizing is like when it arrives!
I'm going to swear if I manage to get to the shop tomorrow and they've sold out "due to all the web orders..." :D:p:eek:

Planet X are not known for their serious names.

Their steel winter hack is called the Kaffenback.

Their steel single speed bike is called the Pompino, which is Italian slang for blowjob.

Their Ti CX bike is called the Pickenflick.

Their line of pumps is called Phaart.
