The jerseys are certainly very baggy/loose. Small hasn't turned up yet but hoping it will be small enough.. first time I've ordered a small in any cycling clothing!

How much business did Roady bring them?! Are they going to give you any commission? :D

So I've been patiently waiting for Trek to update (to Segafredo) & replenish inventory for the Emonda ALR 5 so my local store can frame swap with an ALR 6, so I get Ultegra on a red frame, picky I know :p

Spotted this on their site just now, could be some promising new additions:

'Hidden mudguard mounts' and 'additional tyre clearance' might get some of you hot and bothered

Same. No bling, no care :p

I guess it means some more shiny chainsets will be floating around to snap up :)

Quite possibly! As someone pointed out, current Dura-Ace is almost affordable now, and UI2 is definitely affordable. They probably want to push this new Dura-Ace quite far in terms of being "the best of the best".

Direct mount brakes too. Very slick. Shame it doesn't say how big the tyres can go. People need to know! Although, I guess 28 is maybe the limit for some people.

I'll be sticking with mechanical groupsets for the time being so if this makes them even more affordable I'm all for it :)

Yeah, I'd expect 28's. Direct mount are very appealing, especially when still rim brakes. I throw caution to the wind when descending so extra stopping power comes in handy! Will see what, if anything, has changed on the Emonda ALR soon.

This Park Tool guide suggests that 'Shimano® cranks use a proprietary eight-pointed star driver. Use the Park Tool BBT-9 or BBT-10.2.' to remove them.

But when I've googled those tools they seem to relate to the BB cups  I've got Hex & Star bits at home but do I need something more specialist?

Edit: I see now how the tool functions now :p

I've ordered the XL but yet to turn up yet. How big are you if you dont mind me asking? Not sure if I should order the L as well.

6ft3 and just over 13st.

After 26 miles last night - comfy, but a bit weird pad. may take a bit of getting used to. Feels comfy but a bit different shape to the normal castelli one.

Only thing is.....(trys not to lower the tone) - with the bib shorts on, it has the look of a "camel toe" the way the pad sits at the front!!!!

Anyone else thought that - or just me???

I have a pair of shorts that give the mangina look and another pair where the pad is so short at the front it acts as a shelf to have the goods displayed loud and proud up front. Neither is a particularly good look.

Thankfully my better shorts just give the impression that I have the under carriage of a Ken doll.

Has anyone bought Rivelo bibs or jersey from Sportpursuit ?

How do you find the fit, quality etc?

I have the Honister Bibs and I can only comment on them from a strutting around in the bedroom point of view as their first outing will be this weekend.

Fit is excellent, in fact they have re calibrated what I mean by the term fit. They sculpt around you nicely and give a decent amount of compression where needed. Stacks better than my Pearl Izumi Pursuit Attack which are my other decent bibs.

Perfect example of an idiot commuter cyclist this morning:

On his fold down bike, cuts through a red light for the traffic (where I am crossing the road), and then cuts onto the pavement.

No wonder drivers think all cyclists are dicks when they see people like him.

Off work and have a few hours to kill. What better way to use the time than to go for a cycle?

Apparently sitting around doing nothing :( I have zero motivation at the moment. I'm not sure what's wrong with me.

Aha. I had to enlist the help of a BMW driver at a set of roadworks in Surrey a few weeks back. The sensor wasn't detecting me and I didn't want to proceed on red as I couldn't even see round the bend. He was waiting in a junction besides the traffic light waiting for it to go green... had to ask him to get behind me to trigger the sensor. Let him go through first when it finally went green.

I was sitting behind 2 motorbikes on Sunday and we had a similar problem. Some roadworks in the middle of nowhere, they had to approach the lights together to get it to change!

Ah ok. I find my Keo's clip in much easier than the SPD-SL ever did. Even if I don't clip in perfectly, the half clip feels much more secure than the SPD-SL.
Going SPD-SL to Look is fine, as it's 3 bolt. Going Speedplay is going to cause you problems. The one thing I really want is a pair of shoes with the 4th bolt hole in the middle of the 3 for the Look "memory" pin, it helps with cleat alignment when you fit a new set. Sidi's have this, even the Kaos model have it! (Seen here.)

£45 for the Look Keo 2 Max pedals (http://www.wiggle.co.uk/look-keo-2-max-pedals/) these are the ones that I have. You can go fancier (mainly just lighter and the carbon blades). The design of all the Look's is basically the same. I think I have mine set to the lightest unlock tension, and they are still super tight!
Yup I will probably go the Look Keo route next, Speedplay was more of a long term aim as they look so awesome! Any experience with the Keo Classic 2's? Providing compatibility I'd probably start with them (to try out) as hardly ever see S/H keos for sale I could otherwise grab for trial.

Fully aware of bolt fittings/numbers and interesting info about the memory pin in many Sidi's. I knew what it was but had never investigated it's use before! Any other 3 bolt cleats that others here are using and recommend?
NFTO bibs and top turned up today.
XL top fits nice - could probably do an L but happy with the XL. Bib shorts seem good quality and nice fit as a well (XL),

It sits quite a bit higher at the front according to some people? I'm not sure that'd suit me as it may increase likelihood of rubbing due to thighs.
Checked my pedals again and the crank arms are well and truly threaded so the Shimano pedals won't engage but curiously my original pedals will. Might have to put up with that for now. Need to set my bike up on my turbo though cos the back wheel is looking a bit wonky after the crash a couple of months back. Just need to make sure before i get new wheels ordered up :(

Edit

Wheel bent as a 12 Bob note so I guess it's time to order new wheels now.
If you've been riding it and the bikes not thrown you off then the wheel is only buckled and can be fixed by retruing the wheel/spokes. Any LBS can do this.

You can also get your cranks rethreaded, or at least looked at. Just make sure you take your Shimano pedals at the same time and they'll tell you of any issues/compatibility, they may even fit them free of charge.

Haha I wish! Would've been good for a 'referral' field on the website and you could've all stuck my name in! But alas, all I've done is increase their revenue. No bad thing but I think the prices they're selling at they're making very little. I question that they might even be making a loss on the shorts!

Felt a bit like that yesterday but was pooped from my after work ride on Monday & holiday catching up with me. Best not to force it if you don't fancy being in the saddle. That said with rain for the rest of the week I did and it wasn't too bad.
