My bike has to be racked for the race on Saturday morning so depending on how early I might be able to do a quick spin.

Otherwise, I was thinking commute as normal (10mi per day) and maybe a RP visit on Wednesday to stretch the legs.

Maybe a run or two also, which shouldn't be a bad thing for the legs.

If its like IM events I've done you're usually given a racking time, but its largely meaningless. Just to try and get everyone not to turn up at the same time, so should be able to spin pre-racking.

Fatal crash on the way home, motorcyclist + truck.. Not a good feeling when something like this happens, never mind on the same road you ride twice a day, everyday! Rip that man.

Any suggestions for a cycling gift for Father's Day, my old man rides his tourer a bit, doing 100-200km a week.

Gonna have a gander on wiggle now...l

Lovely bike Dave.

Nice ride Benny, just followed on Strava. Aston Hill is great, i do it on the way back from work. Ive done it about 35 times now and still cant work out the best way to tackle it.

I find the first part the hardest then it gets easy, then hard again at the top.

If you're looking for other hills close, carry on down to Watlington and take a left after the petrol station and head up Hill Road, thats quite a nice one. Or carry on a bit more and check out Howe Road, if you keep going a bit more you could check out Britwell Hill. Thats pretty tough, straight up and unrelentless!

Does anyone know if you can adjust the altitude units bit on the Garmin 800? i think its linked to your route but when you look at it, its basically just a flat line, i think its because there are no mountains round here but it would be nice to see a terrain map of what you've just done.

Thanks, will bear those in mind for next time :)

Yeah I found the start to be a bit of a grind but got in to a good rhythm after that.

Should join Maxeh & me for a ride when he's next up

I hate it when you accidentally follow a random stranger on Strava. I had two tabs open - one for Daniel Ambrose that had just added me and another for Daniel Duperouzel as he appeared on the OcUK list and I didn't recognise him. Guess which one I clicked Follow for

Yea that would be cool, im riding from Thame a couple of times a week, looks like we're riding similar routes. The Chilterns are pretty awesome for cycling. Some of the hills tho, dat glute burn

Aston hill is the longest ive found so far, 2 miles give or take. I prefer them to the short sharp ones
