Looks like a good result. I have some bibs which I damaged by falling off when they were still pretty new. I've not used them since due tot he hole. I may as well patch the hole up with some of this stuff.

I'm just struggling to picture how you managed to rub yours that badly with a velcro strap off a saddle bag :)

Don't tempt him! Don't you remember the chamois description?

Hey guys, ive got the Ridelondon 100 event at the beginning of August, i need some new Bib Shorts, my old pair were from Cycle-Clothing-uk, they are now literally falling apart.

Have any of your tried Fat Lad at the Back bib shorts? Any good? Any other recomendations for Bib shorts for a 44" waist, 6 foot 5" tall with rugby player physique chap?

You'll find sizing hard in most of the 'euro' brands (Castelli, Sportful etc) as most won't go up to that size as they're all 'race fit'. I'm 32/34" and usually an XL or XXL. I've not seen many go past XXXL!

Some of your other brands (like Fat Lad) will use more traditional sizing where the size range will be larger. As a brand they seem to review well so I would expect good Quality from them. DHB would be worth looking at (I know I'm M/L in most of their sizes and many go up to XXL), but you may find their most comfortable shorts are more 'race' fit. The looser fits (Active) are usually not the most comfortable for extended times in the saddle. The official RideLondon DHB shorts go up to 100cm waist, ideally you need 110cm but it would be worth giving them a try. The size 'tool' (fit.me or something?) on Wiggle may be worth using too, although I've found it sized things a little too large for me.

Edit: Stolen Goat go up to 42" on their shorts

I carried on riding at the end of a wet miserable ride as I was near home along a busy road :o:(

Tart :p

Last time I was out with [Damien] I had to tell him to speed up because he was admiring some jogger's arse :p

In the past I have found that to be an excellent pothole finding technique...

And no, that's not a euphemism.

Guilty as charged. Although to be fair it was more her impressive legs than anything else. :)

Grudas do you use a GoPro to record your commutes? accidentally mentioned to my mum the other day about some **** throwing a bottle at me when i was riding home, she now wants me to record my rides. Not sure how long the batteries last on these things? i got a Hero 3 but tbh ive hardly ever used it. Is it possible to get a couple hours out of them?

He uses a Garmin Virb.
Heard of these but never looked into them until now.

They look pretty good! I like how you can remove the battery and pop a new one in if youre on a longer ride.

3 hours battery life too which again would be fairly decent.

Might have to get me one of these, i need a camera for my commutes, sometimes I come across some absolute clowns.

Just had to admit defeat. Went to cycle home. Wind nearly had me off 3 times in the first mile. Turned round, 35 miles in that, especially on some of the twisty roads isn't worth it :(

I have 1 KOM, i beat the guy at the top by 6 seconds who had held his KOM since 2013, someone then challenged it and got within 2 seconds of my time. I think ill probably hold this for a while now, i hope :D
