Did you say the normal raceblades fit your defy ok?

I might give them a go. I know they aren't full length, but i only commute on my own so i don't really care about whether folk on my wheel would get wet, as long as they keep most of the wet/crap off of me.

I have the Raceblade Longs XL and they're full length. Same coverage (slightly more with the flaps) as the Giant guards and more than the Roadracer mk2's.

The'll keep most of it off you but not much of it off your frame/drivetrain.

Not many guards keep it off the frame/drivetrain without a crank/chain cover (like my missus city bike has and I've been half tempted to source for the winter...) :p

I wish websites with 'sales' would actually list the new sale items, their discounts and when they were the original price. It seems to me that most sales contain products that have had a sale tag on them for months and months.

Wiggle are bad at this, quite regularly have things on my watchlist with a 30-40% discount, then a 'SALE!' happens and they're listed with a 25-30% discount! At least with wiggle you can see the 'RRP'/start price.

dumped two guys yesterday who aggressively over-took me, one guy turned off at the next junction other caught up at the lights with a smile and "was not expecting that"

muwhahaahaha! I was running out of uhmf so I'm glad they backed off early :D

I hope you gave him a casual glance and a "u wot m8?" ;)

Wouldn't mind a couple of short sleeve nice jerseys, ie Castelli, anyone spotted any bargains, wouldn't mind some relatively bright colours? Size S/M?

Several castelli jerseys under £50 on the wiggle sale, some of them almost low enough in price for me to look at! ;)

Picked my bike up at lunchtime, quite chuffed as for the £30 service they only charged 1 hour of labour, replace rear brake cable and outer, straightened front mech, reindexed gears, checked out the derailleur hanger, removed cranks, checked out bearings and refitted. Would've taken me probably 3 hours or more! ;)

Although I'm going to look at my mech hanger again as I know I knackered the head on one of the screws and want to replace it. Fairly sure if I take it off I won't get the screw very tight before getting it stuck in there... Are they hard to source/bike specific? For the tiny screws what are my options? Buy a whole new hanger with them or try and source them separately myself?

Looking forward to him being hunted down and exposed online.... Obviously internet witch hunts are kind of bad really but my sympathy for this guy is minimal.

Wiggle fairy has been, also got a delivery from Tredz!

Sick of getting wet now so ive bought some gear, the jacket is beautiful! Such a nice fit, feels warm, feels very comfortable, the padding on the bib leggings are thick too which might be helpful! Thicker than the padding in my bib shorts.

Went for the Defy guards in the end, couldnt be bothered looking aorund anymore so im just gonna try them, they might be okay on the Defy 3, time will tell.

They were both as bad as one another to be honest. If that was a close pass, that cyclist want's to try cycling round here, I consider that an average pass.
Certainly didn't warrant chasing the dude.

Got one of the Castelli Entrata from Wheelies! Saw the Gabba 2 in Cannondale colours for £75, very good buy for that price.

lol.. I just had a laugh because it was quite funny!

gold!
Too funny, actually killed me off.

Prat! Highway code section 163 states that "Give motorcyclists, cyclists and horse riders at least as much room as you would when overtaking a car" a cyclist can legally take "primary position" in the road, this is to avoid parked cars where doors may fling open, to be seen on the road by other road users and for general safety.

A cyclist round here who rides in the local clubs had a van door open on him and wipe him out the other week, put him in hospital, this is exactly why we are allowed to take "primary position" and it isnt a logal requirement to even use bike lanes, we do it out of courtesy, well I dont haha.

My favourite part was where he hit his head at the end. I really hope he hurt himself.

Quite pleased with Evans. A couple of months ago I took a pair of shoes back as one of the cleat threads had fallen out. Warranty returned them in store, where they were sending them back to Italy, and told it would be several weeks, and likely no result as it would be deemed as caused by user error. Left it for 8 weeks and wrote an email yesterday. Responded today offering me a new pair of shoes to the value of £150 and a £20 gift voucher. Happy with that :)

That is brilliant! To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of the numberplate reciting brigade as they tend to be out looking for confrontation/footage but I did like the way he had an answer for all his stupid comments and the end was just gold!
