Hi guys,
How much do you think my time trial bike is worth if I sell it?

It's a White Planet X Stealth SRAM Time Trial Bike with carbon bars and frame.

Cost £1200 and is about 18months old, been ridden about 6 times, raced twice (sub 26 minute 10miles with me on-board so a decent rider = much faster!) and so is completely original. Hasn't even done enough to warrant a service as max cycled probably 100 miles.

What wheels? 700-800 maybe! If you did 25min/10mile it'd be around 900 tho ;)

dhb Aeron Pro. I liked the pad in my Aeron Pro bib tights.

The old ones are just under 3 years old. Mileage is roughly 3 years commuting 10 miles each way, minus the rainy days, minus the winters :D

I think that's probably down to the fact the pad in those shorts wears really badly over time. I binned my Aeron Pro bibs recently as the pad was useless after a couple of years wear - it ends up getting really compressed with use and stops providing any actual padding after a while.

Compared to my Castelli shorts, which are as good as new after 2 years wear - i have a second pair that are only 3 months old to compare them to and the pad on both pairs is pretty much in identical condition.

I would say that's because you get what you pay for, but i think i only spent £15 more on the Castelli ones than the dhb.

So i woke at 3.40am this morning, and decided today i would ride to work. So i did, and it seemed harder than my thursday ride, even though it was 2 miles less. Though i had to take other traffic into consideration, and it seemed mostly up hill, with a 300m 14% climb at the 7th mile. I had to walk up half of that lol. I think it'll be a few more rides till i can make it up there. Depending on how i feel in the morning, i'll try and ride again to work and now i've got something to work at and beat my last time and segments.

I'm hoping the weather is good for B/H weekend as i wouldn't mind riding to Keswick which is about 25 miles - obviously i'd have to stop a couple of times :)

Well neither of my old shorts were dhb. One pair were Pearl Izumi and the others were Gore. I didn't expect either to last for 3 years to be honest :p

I think PX are doing a deal at the moment for the frame and wheels for £599 new - so doubt you're going to be making mega bucks unless your wheels are bling. Perhaps split and sell on ebay?

My brand new frame :D

Now the build can begin!

I had some of the bibless normal aeron shorts and they were better quality than the bibbed active I had, couple of my bib tights are aeron too and although good I wouldn't rate them as anything special... Just better than Active! Although the Pro might be loads better?! ;)

You struggled to carry much speed onto the steep part which really affected you - not much option hitting a steep part like that if you've got no momentum! :(

The climb before it (7%?) you were able to carry much more speed! Immediately after it your speed only dropped to 5mph and then increased even though it was uphill. There are times when I hit a climb and my only option is to spin up it in my lowest gear. Sometimes the best thing is to maintain a low speed for the whole climb rather than trying to power up the first bit and then struggle for the second! That all depends on how you're feeling and the road conditions though!

In my example it was so steep I stood for the first part (see the HR spike/climb with cadence drop), then realised I was blowing out my a** so sat down in lowest gear (see cadence increase & HR begin to drop) then I stood towards the top again to power up the last part as I felt I'd recovered enough (HR climb again and cadence drop!), I didn't exactly judge it well but I didn't know the road or how long the climb was! :p

Where'd the good weather go?

It felt almost frosty at 6am this morning! And now it's chucking it down.

Cold here this morning too (jacket, knee warmers & facemask!), rain all day and now the sun is out...! Quick, I'm heading home! ;)

After struggling with their BB's and their cranks, I wouldn't buy anything they make personally. You'd be better off shaping parts from ham.
