I'm a hardman and wear knee warmers even in -15 degrees. With snow.

Your knee warmers, are leg warmers ;).

I see Cycling Weekly is having a fun time spamming around about the disc brake shenanigans currently, not even sure I care about them in all fairness.

Rapha are also doing a pop-up weekend shop for a "Sample Sale" this weekend, so will be heading down there to pick up some bargains for the spring/summer. :D

Struggling to figure out what to wear for commuting, mornings have been cold and the afternoons 14-15 degrees. Think it's short sleeve and arm warmer time, and knee warmers considering we're now allowed. :p

I'm a big fan of knee warmers, doesn't bother me if my shins get cold and they stop my knees feeling so creaky. I wouldn't bother with them on an easier ride and just go full tights but for pressing on they are great, keep you warm in between the harder efforts but don't get uncomfortably toasty.

I know - I was totally in with a chance of winning this year too
HAHAAH, pah! As if a Frenchman would win the Tour de France!:p:D
Knowing what Assos pictures are like displaying their products there is no way on earth I'm opening that while on my work PC! :p:rolleyes:

Yeah pop-up's in Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow.

I'm annoyed I can't get to it as I was hoping it would be Bristol, but soon realised they wouldn't do one there with their 'factory outlet' based quite close in Shepton Mallet (I think?).

If they've got any of the 'Pro-team' (plain, wiggins or sky, don't care) for ~£60 or the Core for ~£50 and you wouldn't mind, could you grab me a pair of XL please!

My commuting is still roubaix/thermal shorts, knee warmers, boots (don't suffer from hot feet), roubaix jersey (but not too thick, usually not windproof) and occasionally a windproof gilet in the mornings. Gloves & face/buff change between morning & afternoon but need to start carrying a thinner jersey soon for these 15/16 degree rides home.

People with disc equipped bikes = Unhappy, some grumbling.
People without disc equipped bikes = Not bothered, some smirking.

Can we go back to talking about chamois cream, beer and arm warmers please?

I've both and in both camps.

thanks guys, ill get the lifeline torque wrench, as it comes with all the bits and goes down to 3nm which is handy for my carbon frame

ill get the professional one I think ?

Welp. Was just about to go out for a ride and my gear cable snapped :(

Ultegra replacement cables really necessary? What should I get? Preferably local so I can have it ready by weekend again.

I have a feeling the cable end is stuck inside the shifter somewhere too.... It's not shifting as many times as I'd expect.

The industry is confident that disc brakes continue to be one of the products of the future and will become an important part of road racing.

To be fair if I was a manufacturer who had pumped huge amounts of development money into disc brakes I'd be saying the same thing. Truth is that a substantial number of cyclists (or at least those that are willing to throw four figures+ at a bike) will only want what the pros use.

Not sure what the professional one really adds, except for needing to spend more :p

Those who have it here have the basic one AFAIK.
