I removed Chloe from my followers last night, shes to demanding for me

Does anyone know some good turbo videos on youtube? im working through the GCN ones (which are great) at the moment but looking for some variety.

You found the schwalbe one's grippier than GP4Seas?.

yeah but the Ones are pretty much racing slicks and the GP 4 seasons are, dunno more like all year fast commuting tyres? The gp400s II is probably a closer match.

For saddles, I just ordered a bunch from wiggle, tried them out on the turbo and returned them all but one, they didn't seem to mind :)

Bit of a sad panda today. I think I'm going to have to cancel my trip to ride LBL :( Cold is moving into my chest, and I don't think it's sensible to ride with it. Call me a wimp, but I'd rather recover quickly!

The weather is getting lovely down here now, will soon be trying to get out in the early morning to power along down by the river. Got a nice loop I can do laps of quite easily.

If it's already booked and you're going to lose money anyway just go and see how it is? Might be worth watching anyway!

I need to start doing the same early mornings. That was the plan this morning but I woke up feeling too tired. (wimp)

2 miles? Surely it's almost not worth the effort of unlocking/locking bike, getting gear on etc... probably quicker to walk by that time :D
Exactly - I'm almost thinking trouser clips and flats but that's not much use in the winter...! Gah!

Well we've not got the house yet, so on tender hooks for the next few days!

If we do, I have a whole double garage, half of which is already converted, for my man cave...! *drool*

Fair point. Then again the GP4000sII's are not really slick like the Mitchelin pro4E's, they're closer to the SC for tyre tread (just going by look, no actual riding experience). Probably explains why I feel my GP4Seas and GP4000sII's have more grip than the Mitch Pro4E I was riding previously.

That's rubbish if you have to mate, guessing no refunds? Worth asking around any others riding (Facebook?) if they have any friends who missed out on a spot. Might even be able to get some cash your way for it! Unsure how strict organisers would be though...?!
Thanks peeps, im going to go to my LBS and get my butt measured, and then see if they can do a bike-fit.
Its a home built bike, so i am probably well off :D
Lots of guides online (sitting on the stairs on a sheet of paper is quite accurate!), but as suggested - it might be more than saddle!
I like cake.
Cake likes me.

The cake is a lie! :(

Saddle height, talk to me folks.

Took my new bike for a spin yesterday after making some adjustments, I measured the saddle height of my currently bike which was 720mm from the bottom bracket. However on the Cervelo I can only get the saddle down to 740mm from the BB, this is the seat post slammed.

Now, I can cut about 10mm off the seat post to it's minimum (rather not as I lack the tools) which brings me down to 730mm from the BB or do I look at buying a short seat post?

Or, (where I lack understanding on how my legs should work) if I was to buy a shorter crank i.e. 170mm and run the saddleat 745mm, this should work the same and thus put me into a more aero position, no?

Bike fits aren't magic, you only have to see what happened to Saitrix recently (one painful area went away but two others started), but getting some guidance from a pro is a good start

Having more Strava follow requests today, both have a website 'stravameet' (excluding TLD here) under their names so I think we're going to see more of this kind of Strava abuse.
Jerrica Clack has been blocked.
Shaquana Woxell has been blocked.

Does everyone have their training log as private, I find I get hardly any requests from randoms with this set as private not just your rides.

True a fit is a starting point, but like these new fangled professional photographers with DSLRs everyone is a pro these days. You need to ensure you're using a respected and recommended fitter to get a good base, and actually your position will change as you become stronger on the bike. (Able to hold a lower position etc)

can't you take 2cm off the tube? as long as there's a fair amount in the frame below the TT junction it should be fine, just need any old hacksaw to do it

Tfw you have a day off work and squeeze in a short morning ride. Hoping to have a stab at a KOM on a local 4 mile segment you created, requiring approx 1m20s PB. (13:00min current PB).

You normally ride it cold so decide to get a short climb in before and a good spin out in between so you're nice and warm. There's a little cross wind and the segment felt quick albeit you're not that out of puff at the top...

And you're 20s slower than last time :p despite being down 2lb in weight and carrying one less bottle than normal. Never mind still a lovely day! :)

There's a minimum line, but there would be at least 170mm+ of tube inserted into the frame still so assume it would be OK.

It's carbon though and feel like I should be playing the rules with it. :p

I may be totally misunderstanding what is going on here, but here goes... The minimum insertion refers to the length below the line, like the shortest amount of seatpost you can have inserted in the seat tube. I've heard it quoted as being 2.5 times the diameter of the seatpost, so on a 28.6mm seatpost it would need about 7cm of seatpost in the seat tube. It sounds like you want to get the seatpost in all the way to the seat tube, which is the opposite scenario. If that's the case, then saw away my friend.
