I was just looking at Wiggle and noticed I have "Your Platinum Discount" labels everywhere... whoops must have broken the £500 in last 365 days barrier! :o

I've had one for a lot of miles and it has been fine. A friend has an even cheaper non-name job from ebay and that has also been fine.

SRAM mount is fine but doesn't put the Garmin flush with the stem, if that bothers you.

It's not aero enough! My SRAM mount costs me at least 2 seconds in a 10TT :p

(it's designed like this so that you can turn it round and mount the garmin above the stem if you have a really short stem which the garmin wouldnt normally fit on)

Full aero pls

randomshenans, can you get 28s on the Aeroad? ive got 25s on my wheels at the moment but fancy trying 28s when they wear out and ill have my Aeroad by then.

That decent down to Marlow at the end of the video is awesome. I like that section. Gotta watch out for rocks in the middle of the road there tho!

Yeah. There are some big ones there sometimes! A lot of fun that descent though :D Always something to look forward to!

I do enjoy the climb out of Marlow too though: The Marlow STELVIO as the segment is called. It's actually pretty nice.

Yea thats a cool climb, you dont get to much traffic there either

when I can do longer rides again at a pretty decent pace, ill join you for a ride around Marlow and the like

That would be cool. Im struggling after a 6 month break, i done a 50 miler last weekend and from 30+ i wanted to get off and push it. Ive been trying to hit the turbo to get some fitness back but its a slow road :(

Utterly bizarre, silly Frenchies! They just don't want them in the TdF for some even faster descending!
I made a point of absolutely obliterating some guy wearing baggy shorts on a road bike. He had no bar plugs either. Not cool, dude, not cool.
Good work!
it certainly helped my back :)

Spoke to the Doctor today, and they are referring my back to the Muscletal , but not for phisio this time, looks like im getting an injection into the base of my spine
Awesome! Chuffed for you with the stem but also good to get a referral to a specialist. They'll have many more tests and options for you - fairly sure they'll have dealt with athlete related injuries before! :)
so what do you guys use to mount your Garmin Edge out in front ?
Superstar are good for quality:value but hardly ever in stock. K-Edge and Garmin mounts are as good (if not maybe better) quality but at double the value (so usually in stock). The SRAM mount is a great compromise to them all...!

I emailed them a while back and they said that they planned to make them part of their "made in Britain" line of products which I assume is their way of saying they'll make them in house rather than shipping them in :p They said spring but they seem to have loads of products in development at the moment so I'm not sure if that is likely to slip. First two out of production are mine* so hands off ;)

*This may or may not have been agreed with Superstar...
