Tom,
How do the junction boxes work here, presume you've got a 5 port down near the BB, how do the front cables all work, just reading through my felt manual and they only show the 3 port JC41 box on the front, but surely there are 4 cables, plus the one to go to the rear, or do the TT shifters plug into each other?
In the end I just used a 3-port on top of the stem, two inputs to that from the shifters, then a wire in the down tube to the BB to the other junction box which has the inputs from the battery and derailleurs. Ideally I would have it all in the BB area, but I'd need extension leads for the shifters to make that work I think.
With the junction box on the stem I don't think it's much of an aero penalty at the moment. I may look into moving it over the winter but not that fussed at the moment.
If you want gloves, or aero overshoes/covers then worth swinging by. Some of the club/team clothing might be worth a shout too if you're big/small (as all the normal M/L/XL Castelli sized stuff had mostly gone). Is it a decent sale Roady? I may send my Dad down tomorrow morning to check it out as I could do with some winter gear.
Bambino's were (I think) £130. Not sure on Rims, flier sent out lists ENVE 2.2, 25, 3.4, 4.5, 6.7, 7.8. didn't see anything smaller than 4.5 left. No idea on pricing but could find out.Roady, how much were the Bambinos? And what rims did they have available?
I don't have the brake shifters. I've got maguras, which obviously have to have their own levers. Not sure on whether they do combine though. Highly likely given that's how it works on the road shifters. You can plug up to two other accessories into the shifters, or just into the 5 port junction box directly.
Haha probably, but £300 makes them even substantially cheaper than an imported one from the States! And on par with a S/H powertap rear hub...Buying a secondhand Stages crank sounds like the worst idea ever.
so I'd need to switchout my cranks for DA. Not to mention they've been well used so questionable warranty on them...
I thought not with 5800 non-shimano cranks (FSA gossamer on my Giant & Praxis TURN Zayante on my Diverge)? The way the left crankarm fixes to the spindle is different so the readings are not accurate on non-shimano setups? Stages did a gossamer crank for the 105 BB30 used by Giant and other off the shelf brands...if you're on shimano already it'd only be for aesthetic reasons
Great news! Although %BIG^EXCESS%?Insurance approved for 1.2k after excess. Woot.
Probably end up adding on the same again but should end up with quite a tasty machine.
Mine felt average at the start of the week, I've done very few miles the last 9 days (less than 80) but legs are starting to feel strong again so think I must've had a slight illness... Need to get out this weekend otherwise I'll only be at 60 miles for the week!Last few weeks with less daytime and more work it's been really tough to get out for my usual 3-4 mid-week rides. Winter
EDIT: Not sure if I asked before, anyone used/know/trust ACycles'?
Roady, how much were the Bambinos? And what rims did they have available?
Anyone know if Shimano have some sort of compatibility software or a chart or something for figuring out possible upgrade paths on mechs?
Ok thanks. Really need to find someone local with a Kask in Large to try on before ordering one... Especially @£170!Ordered track pump and tyres from them before, A1.
Don't ask, don't get! Still a good result, now just need you to heal up! How's the news on operation/pain levels/painkillers?£100 excess - they didn't offer the full £1.5k I requested but that's fair enough tbh, I was pushing things a bit
