Also grim is I’ve got loads of bites on my head which suggests there’s something living in my helmet (not penis related)

I’ve recently been leaving it outside to dry off as I’m a heavy sweater and the wife is wondering if mosquito’s might have laid eggs :(

Having ridden in doors yesterday, as it just looked too miserable, I was rather determined to get out today, but it wasn't perhaps a great idea, very windy! I think we passed 4 downed trees, one we got off and pushed our bikes under, crouched and shuffling.

At one point, riding home into the headwind, I looked down and my 3s Ave was 440W and I was doing 13mph

I usually get a wasp in mine when riding but that’s about. Haven’t had eggs laid in my head yet but I usually keep it out of trouble.

Whilst not quite at that power, i have been on a slight 3% descent doing around 300w at similar speeds. Demoralising isn't it!

Good news, from googling, either i'm hugely unlucky as i can't find any other reported posts, but quite a bit came up about sweat rash. Weird as it's only happened in the last week and i've not changed my helmets or sweated any more/less than usual. I never usually take the velcro attached padding out so have done that and given it a good soak just to kill any germs.

I paid £3598 & 3350 for Tarmac SL7 Comps in the summer (RRP 6500 then down to 4600 before sales) because the SL8 23/24 was out and they where getting rid of stock for SL8 24/25 so shifted the SL7 inventory at crazy low prices. Saw some sell for £3175 from Sigma in standard (54) sizes like mine (different colour). Still some around now for £2600 from places in standard sizes.
Go on... why did you buy two?

Well... I got tyres. Called a few shops in London and not much available but Condor had some S-Works 33c CX tyres. Figured they'll do. Tried a few Lakeland shops too but mostly wider tyres available.

Only had the one crash... while I was standing still on a downhill with a dip in front of me. Rolled the wheel into the dip with all my weight on that silly slammed stem (from when I was fitter) Nice little front roll! :D

Has any of you ever ordered anything from bikenn? (tradeinn)

I'm planning on ordering this: Troy Lee Designs Upl 7855 Long Sleeve Protective Jersey to protect my upper body while inline skating, can't find any UK retailers who sell it.
Have used them before a couple of times since Brexit, can't recall what for but delivery ended up being over 2 weeks for my last. Think it was tyres as got paranoid about being caught an import duty was the hold up but it wasn't. Just slow. Same with Mantel before they stopped shipping to UK. The last ones ordered some from Lordgun paying a few quid more figuring they where UK, got all my despatch in Spanish and funnily enough they also took a week from Spain and somehow avoided an import...

First one got hit/smashed by a car! Relatively minor injuries (somehow) but frame written off after doing less than 500km - https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/road-cycling.18737977/page-569#post-37215939

Financially sorted in around a month by the guys insurers, so got my LBS to do the same bike with a few upgrades and all sorted by 31st august. Police pursued motorist for driving without due care, but settled for a driver awareness course which he attended last month (I'm happy with that as was a mistake by a 79 year old driver). Personal injury still ongoing just as a gesture rather than any other reason - got a 3rd party 'assessment' in 2 weeks time. Not sure what they're expecting to see 5 months afterwards...!

Overnight, Whoop have cancelled my order and issued a refund :( No explanation as to why...

Oh that's frustrating. I actually emailed them yesterday to try and get an update because i'd not had anything about delivery. Wonder if the same will happen to me too?

Yesterday i ordered some of the cheap Van Rysel gravel ones as a cheap backup and some of the Rockrider MTB full length ones for a little more protection, but i'd have tried to pick up some better ones aswell if mine was cancelled.

Expensive couple days. Bought the Decathlon smart bike. Looks decent for the cash and like the idea of a 5yr warranty with it.

Then bought a new helmet. Nothing to do with the bites/rash on my head, but became aware i'm riding a lot more than i used to, and a £15 DHB helmet from Wiggle thats 3yrs old and been dropped a lot probably isn't offering as much protection if i crash cycling down some mountain roads.

Then just ordered the Redshift suspension saddle to help take some strain on the gravel rides. Debating the stem too but have an integrated bars and so would then need new bars and then need to mess around with the hydraulic brake lines etc and it just doesn't seem worth it at the moment.

crazy talk, grudas is long gone. Call me slowdas from now on :)
Pffft! I'm just imagining you like this now -

Not quite sure what's happened with your rear wheel, cranks, pedals and one shifter. Stoopid AI!

Ha she's pretty small. I wear a medium and they're quite baggy on her lol. At the moment she only rides to work and back or maybe a little excursion along the track for ~90 minutes so she doesn't seem too bothered by wearing bibs.
Just think of the money we could all save if we didn't need ~£150 bib shorts and could just wear ~£15 Amazons basics! :D

Not quite sure I approve of bananas in a bedroom situation, alongside the bike against the fireplace, although it is fantastic! The bike and the Fireplace! ;)

How where the tyres on mud & snow?

In fact, they're still on sale on their site. I'm tempted to just order again?! Anyone else's get cancelled?
Yup same here. My 2 pairs cancelled, I've emailed them to ask why! Their website still shows them in the Sale section - but not convinced it shows stock levels? Did @Martynt74 see it saying a limited number on sizing at some point? Was that the UK shop or EU...

Was missing XL on the EU store when i first looking but then they re-appeared. The stock levels have been all over the place generally though.
